Our activity in chemicals and petroleum covers the full spectrum of projects in the industry. We have significant expertise in facilities for gas processing, refining and upgrading, oil sand mining, and offshore oil and gas, as well as pipelines, gathering systems and pump stations. Our several thousand experts apply their knowledge to small- and large-scale projects in bitumen extraction and production, and the production of conventional, heavy and extra heavy oil. In addition, we oversee a number of projects in petrochemicals, liquefied natural gas (LNG), coal to liquid gas, chemicals, biofuels, fertilizers, green chemicals and sulphuric acid.

AGRIFOOD Our over 65 years of experience in agrifood allows us to offer comprehensive services in process engineering, from food processing and packaging, to handling, distribution and storage facilities. We cover the full range of agro-industry sectors, including meat, fruit and vegetables, grains and oilseeds, wine, beverages, dairy products, sugar, ready-cooked and frozen meals and animal feed.

ENVIRONMENT The Environment division has been working closely with industry, communities and governments for over 50 years across all industry sectors on environmental impact assessments and studies, site assessments, remediation and reclamation, and ecological and human health risk assessments. We are also equipped to provide services in waste management, water and wastewater management, marine and coastal management, air quality and acoustics, environmental management and institutional strengthening.

AGRICULTURE We have agricultural expertise including land classification, soil and water conservation, master planning, the design and implementation of irrigation and drainage systems, technical and administrative assistance to farmers’ and water users’ associations, institutional strengthening through training and technology transfer, the marketing of produce, financial planning and management, and agricultural extension.

WATER As a world leader in this sector, we are equipped to carry out all types of water infrastructure projects in remote locations, as well as in municipalities. We have designed, constructed and operated some of the most ambitious distribution, conveyance, desalination, wastewater and potable water treatment and welldrilling projects ever conceived.

DEFENCE We work with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), one of our key partners, to provide management and maintenance services for the Maritime Coastal Defence Vessels (MCDV) and Minor Warships and Auxiliary Vessel (MWAV) programs, and provide remote site support for the Canadian Contractor Augmentation Programme (CANCAP). We have also successfully delivered remote site solutions for DND on previous military camps in Bosnia and Afghanistan.

As the Canadian leader in ICI, we have been making equity investments since the mid-1980s in Canada and internationally, and have a division dedicated entirely to this field. THE CANADA LINE The Canada Line, Canada’s largest-ever transportation infrastructure project, is representative of SNC-Lavalin’s total model. We designed, procured, partially financed and constructed the Canada Line, and as partial owner in a 30-year concession agreement, we will operate and maintain it until 2040.

Our services range from design, engineering and procurement to construction, operations and maintenance, project financing and long-term concession agreements. We have proven expertise in these areas to meet a wide range of client needs. And by pooling experts from diverse sectors, we deliver fullyintegrated, custom-made solutions at every stage of the project. To ensure seamless project execution, we use integrated systems and tools such as PM+, our proprietary project management system. PM+ enables our teams to control, track and trend every activity related to scope, cost, schedule and quality across all project disciplines and phases, from definition to start-up and commissioning.
