SNC-Lavalin has a specialised division that puts together financing packages for building and infrastructure projects on five continents. Given its extensive corporate know-how in this area, the division is well-positioned to contribute to project financing. Working with banking institutions, the company’s specialists structure financing and commit Group funds to the capital of contractors having won PPP concession-type contracts.
MAJOR PLAYER IN CONCESSIONS MARKET SNC-Lavalin boasts broad expertise in concession projects and public service delegation (PSD) contracts. From the Reims tramway in France to motorways in Spain, from the cog railway at Puy-de-Dôme in Auvergne to regional airports across Europe, SNC-Lavalin manages, develops and operates a variety of infrastructure. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT A CORE COMPANY FOCUS
CARPE DIEM TOWER, COURBEVOIE, FRANCE
AVIVA France and PREDICA, co-investors in the project, awarded SNC-Lavalin a contract for general contracting of technical packages and High Environmental Quality (HQE) owner assistance for the construction of Carpe Diem Tower in the La Défense business district of Paris. Standing 162 metres high, the office complex comprises a winter garden, large intercompany restaurant and a total of 47,000 m² of office space on thirty storeys. In addition to HQE certification, the building is targeting LEED Gold certification.

For over 50 years, SNC-Lavalin has been renowned for its environmental expertise in all manner of buildings and designs that incorporate highly energy-efficient systems respectful of the environment.
TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC COMPLEX, PARIS EAST, FRANCE
The French Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and the Sea commissioned SNC-Lavalin with the engineering, procurement, construction and management of a 43,000 m² scientific and technical complex in Marne-la-Vallée, east of Paris. The complex, which will welcome some 1,000 researchers, engineers and students upon completion, incorporates geothermal heat pump capability and was built in accordance with High Environmental Quality (HQE) requirements, making it a low energy consumption facility.
PUY DE DÔME COG RAILWAY, FRANCE
A classified Grand Site of France, the highest point in the Puy range and candidate to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, puy de Dôme is truly exceptional. Recognizing SNC-Lavalin’s expertise in the environmental management of sensitive sites, the General Council of Puy de Dôme awarded the company a concession contract for the cog railway and other onsite installations. SNC-Lavalin incorporated the principles of sustainable development into all project phases: design, construction and operation.
