Apple iPad Air 2 Time and time again we have seen Apple fascinate its users by launching innovative and ground breaking products. Living up to its reputation, Apple has now launched what they claim to be the world’s thinnest tablet. The device has been released in two shapes, one being a tablet and the other in cellular from. The model finally incorporates Apple’s TouchID fingerprint sensor and is only a bit thicker than 6 millimeters. The tablet weighs only 437 grams where as the cellular is around 440 grams, making them lighter than Air, iPad’s first tablet of the series. The pre orders start today, that is Friday the 17 th of October 2014. Air 2 starts off at $499, AU$619 and £399. The price list however varies in the typical Apple’s GB classification. 16 GB tablet is priced at $499 where as 64GB and 128 GB will sell at $599 and $699 respectively. Cellular models of Air 2 are priced at higher rates. The 16 GB device is priced at $629 where as 64 GB and 128 GB devices will sell for $729 and $829 respectively. Air 2 is not only sleek in design but has a user friendly interface as well. As compared to the previous version, the new version provides a better processing unit with its inbuilt A8X CPU which is custom made for the tablet. Air 2 now performs at a better speed, that is 40% faster CPU and 2.5% faster GPU as compared to that of iPhones 6, which used the A8 chip. This is primarily because the new chip houses a Second Generation 64-bit architecture and 3 billion transistors. The tablet also incorporates some of the features of iPhones 6 and 6 PLUS, like tracking motion and calibrated sensors, enabled by the M8 motion coprocessor. Apple has made few changes to the 5 megapixel camera introduced in last year’s Air, the iSight is now 8 megapixel burst mode camera. The new and improved camera not only allows you to take pictures in succession but also supports slow motion, time lapse and 1080p video recording. Apples FaceTime, front camera, has also evolved and now allows the users to take better selfies on a burst mode and has improved face detection software. Air 2 comes with an 802.11ac support which ensures that Wi-Fi works at 2.8 times faster speed. Apart from technical and software alterations, the new tablet seems

to be user friendly in other terms as well. Apple has now placed an anti-reflective coating on the screen and has made some manufacturing adjustments to reduce the glare on the new tablet. The powerful processor has already excited many professional designers and enthusiastic gamers. The shipment of the product starts next week, 24 th October 17, 2014. The changes made are quite appealing and has created a positive anticipation amongst the iPad users.
