How you can get yourself motivated following the four easiest steps Have you ever found yourself caught in a rut? Imagine you have many things to do. You have a good plan of doing all the tasks. You execute your plan in the perfect way and did everything right. Yet the results are never what you expected. But do not worry, it happens to everyone in the world, one day everything is falling in place and the next day it becomes a total mess. At times like these, what would you do? You try to get hold of things, you work harder and you increase your productivity. You know at times we’d think, “I will just watch TV for 10 minutes and then go back to work.” Or we start doing other tasks that are important. But it is not quite what needs to be done. And in the end we say, “It is fine, I will do it tomorrow.” Remember, these phrases are nothing but an excuse. You should use them as rarely as possible. Instead, work on the four steps listed below to do things that need to be done. These pointers will definitely give you a boost: 1. Focus on single or simple steps. You need to identify what small steps you can take or tiny things you can do to make your task move a step ahead. 2. Figure your "escape activity" and eschew it. You need to say bye to all your escape places. For example, if you start surfing the web, you need to disable internet from your house. Or if you go in the kitchen as your escape point, then you need to put a water bottle and snacks in your room and shut the kitchen. 3. Get support. At this point it is about time that you get a coach and perhaps an assistant. At least what you can do is to make one of your friends your coach, by telling him the objective for the week. And then you will be accountable to your friend for your whole day activities. 4. Take care of yourself. Do not forget to eat, sleep and exercise; keep a healthy lifestyle. You will have to get outside your working place and relax in fresh air. There is no need to do extensive weight lifting and exercising. Only some stretching will be sufficient.
