As we seek motivation in life, we may encounter a fight between our self and our inner ego. This ego will force us to be motivated through what we have achieved and accomplished. Whereas, our self wants us to experience, live and learn. The negative effect of an accomplishment based motivation is that, such causes a crisis of self-worth upon failure. Hence, a motivation based on learning will help us live a better life.
2. Focus on the process instead of the results “Life is a journey and not a destination”. In order to stay positive and ego-free, always focus on your processes instead of the results. The results will follow, once you work hard and smart. During your life, you will find many beautiful and unforgettable things and experiences; whether positive or negative. Your ego will always make you compare with other peoples’ lives. Hence, whenever you will see someone succeeding in life, you will feel inferior and very vulnerable.
4. The habitual system We are all part of a huge dominating structured system. The inner ego keeps you restricted to it. The reward/punishment system that everyone believes in these days is according to this particular system. You need to know that the reward/punishment system can be defined by yourself. It does not need be subject to the laws and rules of the system as defined by the government or the law.
