OUR ESTATE PLANNING MODULES: Our firm has designed a Seven Module Estate Planning Process that begins with financial planning and ends with charitable giving. As shown in the graphic below, each module is simply a piece of the estate planning puzzle, and each component complements the others

We will also discuss the importance of measuring your team’s performance and making adjustments as needed. What are the best benchmarks and metrics to review and evaluate your team to make the appropriate shifts throughout the planning process? 3. Risk Management Often clients ask what the differences are between things like risk management, asset preservation, or estate & financial planning. The industries can do a better job explaining these differences, however, it is important to also note the commonalities between each area of expertise. We will break down the different elements each team member may be responsible for, as well as the products and services that each offers.

4. Core documents and essential components to a comprehensive plan While estate planning can be complicated and even cumbersome at times, there are a small number of items that make up the backbone or the core of your plan. These are your six primary estate planning documents that spell out your wishes for the future and establish clear instructions for the others that will potentially be involved in decision making on your behalf. In addition to the core documents, we will discuss ancillary matters including but not limited to umbrella insurance, long term care insurance, and family law documents such as post-nuptials and pre-nuptial agreements. We will also address the use of the separate writing for the disposition of your tangible personal property. Finally, we will discuss the appropriateness of a letter of intent, bible/roadmap, ethical will, and funding instructions for implementation. 5. Customization of Trusts Many times, a trust or multiple trusts are critical components of a successful estate plan. While there are many best practices available, as well as the most common trusts, choosing the appropriate trust structure for your situation is key to taking your plan to the next level.

SIX KEY COMPONENTS OF A GREAT ESTATE PLAN:

1. Building a Road Map for Estate Planning and Financial success A great estate plan begins with organization and clear direction. While it is essential to have your six basic estate planning documents completed, a superior estate plan encompasses your complete financial picture. This picture includes all aspects of how you wish to build a secure financial future for you and your loved ones. 2. Team building: Original building of team One common factor across many of our successful case studies is the coordination with a proactive team of advisors. After building your estate and financial planning team, you must develop a strategy to create the glue for the team. Who leads the team? Who organizes the team meetings? Who is responsible for creating communication between the team members? Choosing the right team members can be a defining factor in the effectiveness of your planning process. Some of the critical factors to look for are: credentials, personal style, cohesive fit, ability to communicate.

Some of the items to consider are as follows: traditional vs. alternative trust provisions, unitrust, special needs trust, total discretionary trust, hybrid trust. We will also review the use of powers of appointment and trust protector provisions. These custom trust structures allow for greater flexibility and control. Customization will allow you to make more explicit decisions that provide greater protection for your heirs. 6. Legacy component While last on our checklist, the legacy component is undoubtedly one of the most important pieces of your plan. Many clients feel that they will deal with charitable giving as they go, on an annual basis, rather than incorporate it into their estate plan. However, charitable giving during your lifetime can provide enormous income tax savings that you may otherwise lose at the time of your passing. A combination of multiple charitable giving techniques including cash gifts, planned gifts, including gifts to a donor-advised fund both during your lifetime and upon your death will supercharge your estate plan.

Fine: Where were you born, where did you grow up? What was your hometown like? How big was your family? Ivo: I was born and raised in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, the biggest city in a relatively small country, but with a smalltown charm. As a child I watched my mom and grandma make everything from scratch in their everyday cooking as well as canning products for the winter months. We were poor and we were even making our own ketchup and mayo because couldn’t we afford to buy it. My grandpa had an incredible garden and grew everything on our property. I grew up roaming thru his garden picking tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers and eating them throughout the day. My family was pretty big and lived all around the city.

Fine: In your professional work life, did you start in the restaurant business or another type of business? How did you first get into the restaurant business and where was that? Ivo: I started in the bar business while putting myself through college just to make some extra money and gradually moved towards the restaurants and fine dining establishments.

Fine: When did you open Turco Taco and how did you select this location? What has been the feedback so far? Ivo: The Turco Taco story began in June 2019, when Oz and I opened our restaurant in the Old Dairy Queen location, after spending a little over a year researching the market for the perfect location and the right concept. This freestanding building was built in 1968 and had been a Naples landmark for many years. Our unique concept provides a healthy take on Mexican contemporary cuisine. Our philosophy is that the choices we make about the food we eat, and where it comes from, has a direct impact on our health and the environment. Therefore, we are committed to serving the freshest locally grown produce accompanied by hormone and antibiotic free meats and an impeccable customer service. The feedback from our local community has been incredible. Our guests are pleasantly surprised with the work we’ve done to the building and the second life we’ve given it. We receive multiple compliments on a daily basis of how fresh everything is, how rich in flavor our food is and how phenomenal our employees are, trying to please each and every customer.

Fine: When did you first move here to Naples? What made you choose Naples for your business and your home? Ivo: I moved to Naples in 2010 and fell in love with it right away. The quality of life, cleanliness and safety made me choose Naples as my home, place to raise my family and place

Fine: What do you feel are the secrets to your success here? Ivo: I believe the secret for success is providing fresh ingredients, premium products and excellent customer service in a casual environment while listening to our customer’s suggestions in an ongoing effort to constantly improve.

Fine: What special food items is your hometown known for? Ivo: Homemade pepper spread (ajvar), homemade jelly, and the best meats grilled to perfection using the finest spices and Mediterranean marinades.

Fine: Do you have some secret family recipes on the menu? What are some of your favorite menu items? Ivo: We do have some secret Mediterranean spices that we introduced in our cuisine upon Oz’s suggestion that also played a huge role in the meat preparation, cooking technique and food presentation. Our chef Alejandro Hernandez, who was born and raised in South Mexico, created and improved upon our recipes which were partly influenced by his mom’s home-cooking. Our prep lead Ms. Maria is the heart and soul behind our salsas, sauces and marinades. Overall it was a whole team effort to create delicious, fresh and healthy contemporary Mexican cuisine. Fine: Are there any items on your menu that are ordered more than others - Favorite customer items? Ivo: Our entire menu sells about the same; with the tacos being what our guests prefer the most. The most favorite customer items are the Carne Asada taco and the churros as a dessert. Fine: I have heard that the restaurant business is 24/7, every day - How true is this statement? Ivo: That is true! It is not only the day-to-day operation, but ordering, preparation, and execution at the very end. We have an overnight person that comes and makes most of our preparation throughout the night, so when our kitchen team gets here in the morning, they are ready for a busy day.

Fine: What advice could you give to other business owners and entrepreneurs? Ivo: Always provide the best quality ingredients and best service because our guests recognize the quality and freshness and would reward you for it. Also, always listen to your customer’s suggestions because they see your business from a completely different perspective than you do. Fine: Do you have a favorite local charity? Ivo: Yes, we’ve cooperated with Sunshine Kids of Florida before, and they are definitely our favorite local charity. We really appreciate the work they do to help children fighting cancer.

Fine: What are some of your hobbies? What do you like to do outside of the restaurant? Ivo: Honestly right now there is not much time left for hobbies, but when I do have a little bit of time I like cooking, working in my yard, growing fruits and vegetables and going for walks with my family.
