Spotlight On THE RIVER The Great Falls is at the heart of Auburn and Lewiston on the mighty Androscoggin River, and is a sight to see during the Spring runoff. You can enter your canoe or kayak at the public dock in Simard-Payne Park, explore the canals and mills from the water, or float down stream for white water kayaking on the Dressers Rips. Spectate the annual Rowing Regatta, or aim for great riverside fishing along the water’s edge.
