Recent Executive Developments The latest from our Executive committee

COVID-19 has really thrown a screwdriver into all our 2020 plans, and the band has been no exception. But, our Executive committee has continued to meet and propel our bands ever onwards.

While the committee was appointed at our September AGM, we'd be remiss if we didn't use our first newsletter to give them a proper introduction!

Currently, the committee is working on a COVID-19 plan so that we can begin rehearsing again in 2021. And, the

committee has planned an outdoor rehearsal. Originally planned for Saturday, December 5 the committee has yet to hear from council so they have rescheduled the rehearsal for either Saturday, December 12 or Sunday, December 13. Pending council approval, this rehearsal will kick off from 3pm at the Beecroft Village Green. All members are welcome to come along for two hours of catching up and music making. Be sure to pencil it into your diaries and keep an eye out for announcements confirming the details and sharing links to print the music we'll be playing.

Congratulations to our new and continuing committee members, and thanks to our outgoing members.

Kangaroos functions and what is expected of members. While this is still in development, you can expect to see some updates in the coming months.

So, if you've got any questions or queries for our Executive committee, don't be shy and send them an email (or give them a wave at rehearsal).

At the committee's most recent meeting on Thursday, November 19, the committee also decided to launch a Marketing sub-committee. This team of marketing savants will be the driving force behind the band's marketing and advertising strategy, so expect some exciting things from them. In fact, you can find out what they've been up to already just over the page.

Speaking of Marketing, the Executive committee is still on the lookout for the next Marketing Director! This role would involve:

Chairing the Marketing sub-committee Coordinating marketing, advertising, and social media efforts in-line with our current policies Assisting sub-committee members in performing their duties Reporting back to the Executive committee and attending their monthly meetings
