OPEN WATER SWIM – RACE 4

We would like to say a massive well done to everyone that attended and completed Race 4 of the V Cars Open Water Swim Race Series.

Another great attendance at race 4 with some new faces and some returning faces making up a competitive field of swimmers. The water level was very high at this event with the previous night’s heavy rainfall, so the Speedo Buoys were not stood up right but apart from that a little, light rain everything ran smoothly and the morning was once again a huge success with some great performances from everyone! The RG Active TRAINING RACES offer the competitors an opportunity to gauge fitness, practise mass swim starts, swimming with others and to add a element of competition to your training in a relaxed and inexpensive environment. The Training races will create a series made up of 6 races spread throughout the summer season (May to Sept). The races will follow the same structure with the only things outside of your control being the British weather and the other competitors racing with you. This allows you to monitor your progress over the races throughout the season over the same course and having the series will enable you to try new things and make sure that you get a great workout as well as preparing yourself for your major ‘A’ races during the summer.
