The RGS Today Wednesday 20 May 2020 Issue 456
General Reminders Remote Sports Fixture: A reminder that the whole-school athletics fixture is running until the end of the day today. There is a competitive racing option and a non-competitive participation challenge. Please check the email from Mr Cover for full details and for the link to submit your result. Get involved and let’s make the RGS have the highest levels of participation of any of the schools involved. The countdown is on: you have just until the end of the day to take part (GDGC). Internal School Assessments: A letter was circulated to all parents and boys on Monday from Mr Dunscombe outlining the proposed end-of-year assessments and consolidation tasks for all year groups. These are obviously a change to the normal Trinity Term internal examinations. Please look carefully through the arrangements and if you have any questions in this regard, have a word with your Tutor. In addition, the letter provides clarification on grades and reports for this term. Thank you. British Museum: The British Museum will be showing its filmed tour of the 2013 Life and death in Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition this evening which, if you did not see, is well worth experiencing: www.britishmuseum.org/pompeii-live . Please note that the blurb says “Rating: 12A. Contains sexual references and swear words that may be unsuitable for some audiences, viewer discretion is advised.” (TFF).
