The RGS Today Friday 26 June 2020 Issue 478

General Reminders Lower Sixth Form Online Assessments: These assessments finish today. Please continue to arrive promptly for each of your assessments; the timetable is provided below for your reference. Period 8 Options: Members of the Third Form need to discuss next year’s Monday Period 8 options with their parents and ensure that they have submitted their choices by today at 9.00am. All details were sent last Friday and also again to those who had not submitted their choices by yesterday (SJHY). Virtual Sports Week: Further to the information provided earlier in the week about next week’s event, a reminder that this week's sporting challenge is to practise the events you intend to enter during Sports Week. This will enable you to achieve the best result possible and at the same time boost your House’s score as the Cock House Cup reaches its finale: participation and achievement are equally valuable! It will also allow you to ask any questions about the event(s) should you have any. Best of luck (GDGC)! Mallison Library Book Return: A reminder that this Saturday, 27 June, from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Mallison Library books may be deposited into one of the school vehicles which will be parked in the Eastgate school carpark. We ask that you enter the school site alone via the pedestrian gate from the Eastgate public car park; there will be no access to the school building and no vehicular access to the School site (TFF). Games Options: Please see my email with a link that you need to use to submit your games option for the Michaelmas Term next year. Please read it carefully and only submit answers to the questions which are relevant to your particular year group; it will take a maximum of two minutes. The deadline for your submission is 4.00pm on Friday 3 July. Thank you (GDGC). Fifth Form: The final official contact for the Fifth Form this term will be a meeting next Monday, 29 June, at 11.00am at which Mr Gough will talk about life in the Sixth Form and clarify various administrative arrangements for the start of next term when, hopefully, we will all be able to be in school in person. He will also talk about the Sixth Form dress code. Mr Dunscombe will be there to talk further about results day and other academic matters while Mr Witts will also be on hand to bring the Fifth Form to a formal conclusion. A link has already been sent to the boys to enable them to join this meeting which we anticipate will last no longer than one hour. Social Responsibility: As we come to the weekend again, please continue to enjoy being able to meet up with some friends and family; however, it is important as responsible members of society to abide by the government regulations for the sake of your own health and that of others. Please continue to remain socially distanced for your own safety and the safety of others. Thank you.
