HEAD COACH Tournament final. Sam Barker was named a NSCAA AllAmerican and MIAA Most Valuable Player, becoming the first soccer player in school history to earn either achievement. Barker broke her own school single-season goal record with 25, and her 13 game-winning goals was the most of any college player in the country. Erin Weide and Kellie Irwin along with Barker were also named NSCAA All-Region. Weide led the team and was second in the MIAA with nine assists. Irwin who was also a 2011 First Team All-MIAA honoree, was the backbone of the Adrian’s defense. She remains the team’s career leader in games, starts, and minutes. 2010 Season Review The Bulldogs had an 11-6-3 overall record and went 4-4 in the MIAA. Three players were selected to the All-MIAA teams. Sam Barker earned First Team Honors, while Patti Vaassen and Lauren Cozzi were selected on the Second Team. Barker had a recordbreaking season as a rookie as she set Adrian College single-season records for points, goals and shots. 2009 Season Review Alamdari led the 2009 Bulldogs to a record of 116-2, ending the season ranked #10 in the NSCAA DIII Central Region. Adrian finished the year as the MIAA Runners-Up, and saw four players honored with All-MIAA nominations, including NSCAA AllCentral Region nominee Lindsay Chitwood who led the MIAA in scoring and was named 2009-10 Adrian College Senior Female Athlete of the Year. Out of over 425 DIII teams, the 2009 Bulldogs ranked 10th in Team Save Percentage (.889), 37th in Goals Against Average (.662), and 54th in Shutout Percentage (.526). The season saw several school records broken including Fewest Goals Against, Highest Win Percentage, and Highest MIAA Finish. 2008 Season Review In his first season at Adrian in 2008, Alamdari took the program to a new level as he coached the Bulldogs to a 10-6-3 overall record including the school’s first-ever berth in the MIAA Tournament Semifinals. The 10-win season was only the second double-digit win season in the last twenty years at AC. Under the direction of Alamdari, Adrian placed two players on the All-MIAA Team in 2008. The Bulldogs were also recognized as the 12th Most Improved Program nationally out of over 425 NCAA Division III women’s soccer programs. Away from Adrian Before taking over as the head coach at Adrian, Alamdari served as the assistant coach for the Albion College women’s soccer program and helped the team to a 25-7-6 record in two seasons. Albion captured the 2007 MIAA Tournament Championship and Alamdari mentored all goalkeepers including MIAA Player of the Year Caitlin Bowman. Alamdari serves as the founder and director of the Adrian Soccer Academy which formed in the summer of 2009, and has served on the camp staff at the University of Michigan since 2008. Prior to joining the college ranks, Alamdari served as the Women’s Head Coach for Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Goalkeeper Coach for Portage Northern High School in Portage, Michigan and was active in the club scene with TKO Premier and Kalamazoo Kingdom Reserves. Alamdari is licensed by the NSCAA and USSF, and holds a Master of Arts degree in Performance Driven Leadership from Western Michigan University (2001). He resides in Manchester with his wife Jessica, and daughters Juno and Emmy.

Ali Alamdari 7th Season Western Mich. (2001) 517-265-5161 ext. 4054 aalamdari@adrian.edu 73-35-12 Record at AC 2011 MIAA Champions Ali Alamdari will enter his seventh season as the head coach of the Adrian College women’s soccer team in 2014. Adrian Soccer History Alamdari’s teams over the past six seasons have compiled a record of 73-35-12 (.658) including a MIAA record of 47-20-5 (.688). When you place those numbers against the history of the program, it is truly a success story. From the beginning of the program in 1989 through 2007, the Bulldog women’s soccer program had just one winning season (12-7-1 in 2002) and had never finished above .500 in the MIAA standings. Since 2008, Adrian has produced one NSCAA AllAmerican, nine NSCAA All-Region Honorees, three MIAA Most Valuable Players, 12 All-MIAA First Team Honorees, eight All-MIAA Second Team Honorees, and 23 MIAA Players of the Week. The Bulldogs are the only team to have participated in the past six MIAA Tournament Semifinals (2008-2013). Alamdari is currently first in career wins and win percentage at AC. 2013 Season Review The women’s soccer team qualified once again for the MIAA Tournament and finished the season with a 12-8 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the conference (10-6). The Bulldogs featured one of the best scoring offenses in the league ranking third with 2.35 goals per contest. That number also put the Bulldogs in the top fourth of all Division III teams (84th out of 427 schools). Senior Sam Barker captured her second MIAA Most Valuable Player award leading the league in goals per game. Junior Erin Weide was named First Team All-MIAA and ranked third in total goals among conference performers. Both were named NSCAA All-Region for the third time. Barker wrapped up her career with 65 goals (including 23 game-winners), 29 assists, and 159 points, all records at Adrian College. She was named 2013-14 Adrian College Senior Female Athlete of the Year. 2012 Season Review The women’s soccer team posted double-digit wins for the fifth straight season under Alamdari in 2012. The Bulldogs went 12-4-4 overall and 9-34 in the MIAA (tied for fourth) with the four ties establishing a new school record. Sophomore Erin Weide was named First Team All-Region and MIAA Most Valuable Player. Senior Chayna Wallace was named Second Team All-Region and First Team AllMIAA in net. Senior Patti Vaassen was named Third Team All-Region and First Team All-MIAA on defense. The Bulldogs put together a nine-match unbeaten streak during the season and went 5-1-2 at home. Adrian College had the 11th best save percentage in NCAA Division III (.881). 2011 Season Review The Bulldogs won the school’s first-ever Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) title during the regular season. Adrian finished the season with a school-record for wins going 17-5 overall and 14-2 in the MIAA. The team advanced to the MIAA
