HEAD COACH Head Coach Chris LeFevre
4th Season - clefevre@adrian.edu Adelphi (2004) 517-264-3990 Head coach Chris LeFevre enters his fourth season on the Bulldog sidelines. After spending several seasons in the SUNY (State University of New York) system both as a head and assistant coach, LeFevre brings the ability and knowledge to transform the soccer program at Adrian College. “The goal for me is to put all the pieces together. The program needs to be brought to a level whereby it is inherent that the atmosphere/environment is conducive and reflective to a culture and tradition of winning and success. The best way to achieve this is to build a foundation fostered by players, who in addition to ability also possess the attributes that make them winners athletically, academically and socially. The group of players on this year’s roster has the ability to be that foundation. Essentially, with my help and the mentorship of my staff, the rest of the equation is up to them.” LeFevre has over a decade of soccer collegiate coaching experience spanning over four different conferences as both a head and assistant coach. LeFevre has already made strong advances in Adrian’s program. It took him only one season after his arrival in 2009 to put the team back on the winning track. After more than a quarter-century of below .500 seasons, LeFevre delivered the program’s first winning season since 1983. LeFevre’s prowess paid off in the standings as well, as the Bulldogs placed higher than they ever had previously in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) history. In addition to the progress on the field, LeFevre’s team is also the 2012 recipient of the “Pathways to Excellence Award.” The award is given to the varsity team who has shown the greatest improvement in overall team grade point average from one academic year to the next. The grant associated with the award is bestowed to the college by Curt and Margaret Shaffer. Winning is associated with LeFevre. He won two conference championships with a Final-Four appearance at the NCJAA level. At the NCAA Division I level, LeFevre had the opportunity to work closer with the players as an assistant in the America East Conference (AEC) and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for Binghamton University and Canisius College, respectively. As a former collegiate player at Adelphi University, LeFevre earned his undergraduate degree there and received a graduate degree from Canisius; both in sport management. He has also received notoriety with the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) earning multiple certifications and diplomas. LeFevre and his wife Betsy reside in Tecumseh, Mich.; with their son Isaac.

WE THINK “DIFFERENTLY.”
JEFFREY R. DOCKING PRESIDENT OF ADRIAN COLLEGE “Great things are happening here, and I would love for you to become a part of it. I am a firm believer that small liberal arts colleges like this one offer the best undergraduate education available and we at Adrian are determined to achieve excellence in this endeavor. I invite you to discover more about what can happen for you here. Learn about our small classes, about our devoted faculty who put students first, and about our dedication to helping you prepare for success. This is a place where you will discover your potential, and where you will leave your personal mark. If you become involved in all that Adrian has to offer, I am convinced that you will not only acquire the knowledge and skills for success well beyond college, but you will also find these next four years to be the most enjoyable and gratifying in your life.”
MILES FROM DETROIT
We are a campus of confidence, heart, and determination. We aren’t your average college experience ... we are distinctive. We are made up of achievers, believers, entrepreneurs, and leaders. We are more than simply a “small college,” we are the roots of change. We inspire, ignite, and grow here. It’s getting your master’s degree in five years; it’s being a scholar, an athlete, and a humanitarian ... but more than just a number.
DO YOU HAVE THE “BULLDOG MENTALITY?” 22

WE ARE ADRIAN CALL US A It fuels champions.
ACRE TEXTBOOK.
It’s not about winning championships... but let’s face it, that is what we do here. We throw winning passes, hit home runs, score hat-tricks, and serve up wins in nearly every sport on campus. Maybe it’s because our athletes are strong — both in their sports and in their classes. The average GPA for our student athlete is above a 3.0, and with over 50% of our student body involved in some form of athletic activity, that says something. Actually, it says a lot.
We are the best of both worlds. From the richly landscaped campus mall to the historic architecture of our founding structures, you can’t help but wonder if you’ve stumbled into an educational utopia. Our hallways echo with lectures from years gone by; our stages explode with heart pounding performances.
State-of-the-art athletic facilities and faculty who know you by name are certain to remind you that your experience at Adrian College is
Anything but ordinary. It’s extraordinary ... like you.
