MONTHLY REPORT NAME: Vinny O’Donovan ELECTED POST: President (Sport & Physical Activity) DATE: 23/11/2014 Update and achievements from previous month Community • Intramural sport started and had only half the spaces filled for both badminton and football. • Held a sports forum, provided updates and discussed issues regarding transport and blues ball Engagement • Had a very successful fancy dress Oktoberfest fundraiser. • Intramural sport Representation • I attended a SSS sports presidents meeting in Glasgow. Support • Organised bus times and fixtures Development • Rugby have set up a seconds team and we have sent the team to mini competitions where they have performed well Outline and plan, with timeline, for current month Day to day Tasks Plan Healthy body healthy mind and Volunteer for the coming year Myself and Fil trying to organise a day for Sport alumni Assist the weightlifting club and nutrition society setting up their seminar

Clubs are being more active in the sports forum by fundraising and helping them realise the size of the contribution doesn’t matter. Have started talking/brainstorming about “Out in Sport” Campaign I have helped the nutrition society plan a seminar that will help promote the significance of healthy eating in sports.
