Hello!

From your Students’ Union Presidents Finally, the time has come for you to start the best years of your life! As your elected Student Presidents, we congratulate you on your decision to study at RGU, and are delighted to welcome you to university life - you’ll love it! The Students Union is yours. It is run by a team of RGU students, some of us take a year out from our studies and work full time as Presidents, while our Vice Presidents are parttime volunteers who work with us while they are still studying. The Union lets you shape your experience at University by getting involved with many different activities, from volunteering and campaigns, to sports clubs and societies, and much more. If you like the look of our jobs, you could even take part in our Student Elections and become a President or VP! We also represent you at a University level, and can give you advice, or challenge issues at University on your behalf. We work for you. We really hope that you make the most of the opportunities that the Union can offer you this year, and encourage you to get involved and help create the change that you want to see at RGU. The students’ movement has done incredible things in the past, and we will continue to make changes become a reality based on the opinions of our members, you! As you know, Freshers Week is fast approaching, and we hope you’re as excited about it as we are! This is your opportunity to meet new people, socialise, blag loads of freebies, and find out about Uni life. The Union team have been working tirelessly all summer to make this year’s Freshers Week the biggest ever, and we’ve organised a whole range of events on campus, in the community, in the Union bars and at Tiger Tiger – our partner nightclub. From big name DJs, acts, and celebrity appearances, to bus tours, BBQs and sports events, we have it all! You will see all the details in this pack, so check it out, stay safe and make the most of it! As your Presidents, our doors are always open, whether you have queries, issues, or just want a quick chat! Stop us when we’re around campus or come in to the Union offices at any time, we’re looking forward to meeting you all. Have an amazing Freshers Week and make the most of your time at RGU. See you soon!
