Tulip Garden

Fresh tulips are beautiful, but wilt-free paper tulips that you make yourself are great, too! This model is easy to make on any two square sheets of equal size. Tiny tulips can be tricky, so you may want to try folding this model on larger squares of paper fi rst.

1Flip over from top to bottom. 2 Make creases along dashed lines. Pinch sides of paper where indicated with circles and carefully bring them in and down to meet the bottom edge, as shown by the arrows. Look at the next illustration to see the collapse in progress.
3Fold top layer up along dashed lines. 4 Your model will look like this. Repeat step 3 on other side.
5Your model will look like this. Flip left triangle over to the right like fl ipping a page of a book.
6Your model will look like this. Repeat step 5 with the other side. 7 Fold top layer down along dashed lines. 8 Your model will look like this. Repeat step 7 on the other side.
9Tuck left triangle into the right. Repeat on other side.
10 Gently pull out petals. Curl them around a pencil, if you like. 11 Final result.
Make The Stem & Leaf
1Flip over from top to bottom.
4Fold in along dashed lines. 2 Fold on dashed lines. 3 Your model will look like this.
5Fold in on dashed lines. 6 Rotate 180 degrees. Flip over from side to side. 7 Fold up on dashed lines.
8Fold in half along dashed lines. 9 Using dashed line as a guide, bring leaf outward. 10 Final result. You can stick the tulip on the stem by piercing the bottom point of the tulip with a toothpick and gently inserting the stem.
