Author’s Note
Hello to Best Friends: It is me, once again---Luie Boone! Ready for another magazine filled with dog-friendly vacations? Well, I am all set to share more with you. Please enjoy our 12th volume of WAGGERS WELCOME. This volume is full of interesting adventuresome places for me and my humans. We have kept to the same set-up, so not to complicate things for our readers. Please, again, observe that each vacation destination is broken into four sections. First, being an explanation on each vacation location. Second, is the description of the vacation rental our family will happily stay at. Each family member will have their own sleeping quarters. Other amenities are included. I have, in addition, added a personal saying to each description and do hope you take a moment to enjoy my expression of each place. The 3rd page stays committed to each specific location with 3 dog-friendly activities, 1 dog-friendly eating site and 1 unique dog feature about the vacation spot. I do end every section with a map from our home city of Hortonville, Wisconsin to each destination. This includes miles driving and hours on the road,
(courtesy of Bing Maps: “ Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions. ” Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions. N.p., n.d.Web. 30 May 2015. https://www.bing.com/maps/.) Also, dog-friendly lodgings (if needed on the way) and my own pet peeve, about the location, are included. I am still learning about all places my dog friends can travel to and am still working on getting myself and my owners to visit each and every location. Please enjoy my 12th magazine! Your friend,
Luie Boone

THANK DOG! YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION TO GRAND ISLE, LOUISIANA
You and your dog need to join the visitors who “have fallen in love with Grand Isle.” “For two and a half centuries” people have found “everything (they) could want” in a vacation when they visit this Louisiana town located on a seven mile narrow barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico. “Come see for yourself” ---“take a nature hike” with your dog--venture out “for an ocean swim” with your dog--go for a stroll on the beaches, which this island is “known for.” “The possibilities are endless.”

A GRAND time just hanging out on the vacation rentals’ beachfront deck, watching the “abundant amount of wildlife that appear above the waves.” Cannot wait to start our GRAND time at this state’s “only” inhabited barrier island.”

WHEN YOU GO ON VACATION TO KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
“What type of vacation” are “you (and your dog) looking for”? A water-filled paradise with dog-friendly beaches, cascading waterfalls and dog-friendly boat rides? One filled with adventure on dog-friendly mountain hikes, waterside boardwalk strolls and walks on dog-friendly “historic trestle bridges”? Perhaps, a relaxing vacation that includes picnicking in one of the dog-friendly parks, just sitting in the hot tub at your vacation rental or simply hanging out on the covered deck at your rental? Well, the destination for all this is Kelowna-a place where “over 1.5 million people visit annually.” Kelowna is an “easygoing city” in the south Canada province of British Columbia on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake.
