2021 saw the long awaited return of Long Division Festival. We wanted to celebrate the festival in a new way, and give the artists something physical to remember their time performing, so we commissioned Wakefield based photographer Emily Ryalls to document the bands and the moments before the gigs.
The result was an exhibition and a new zine - Waiting Game - showcasing a selection of photographs of the artists that performed at the 2021 Festival. Emily’s black and white analogue photographs capture the moments of anticipation before stepping onto the stage and the relationships between bandmates. With soundcheck complete and everything set up, the bands are left to play the Waiting Game.
