29/01/15 Dear Parent/ Guardian, Today we have begun the Options process that will allow your child to choose the range of courses that they will follow during their Year 10 & Year 11 studies. As the Option choices and decisions that are to be made are of such importance to your child’s future, we believe that it is vital for Parents and students to engage in this process together. The purpose of this letter is to invite you to our Option Marketplace event on Wednesday 4th March and make you aware of the other key dates in the process. The Options Marketplace will allow Parents and students to speak with the staff and teachers who are responsible for planning and teaching the option courses next year. As well as a number of colleges and training providers to talk to, the information booklet containing details of all of the Option courses being offered at Rhyddings next year will be available to collect. Thursday 5th February will be a day off timetable for all year 9s, working with local colleges and training providers giving them an opportunity to experience what they might want to study after leaving Rhyddings. Starting on March 9th is the options interview process, this will be an opportunity for yourself and your child to meet with the school and discuss the options and ask any questions you may have before making the final choice.
