Amsterdam

Year 9 & 10 Travel & Tourism students visit Netherlands DAY ONE: We left on the 26th June at 8.30am. We all met at school, where we waited for our coach driver. Our first stop was at Bridlington to see Flamborough head and the sea defences. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time at the seaside! We then visited Mappleton which has one of the fastest eroding coastlines in Europe! We arrived at Hull at 5.30pm where we caught the overnight ferry to Rotterdam, it was a fantastic experience! DAY TWO: We left the ferry at 8.30am and joined up with Geoff the coach driver who took us to Volendam which was built on reclaimed land. We then travelled into Amsterdam to do lots of sightseeing. Later on we all met up and we went to Anne Frank Museum, it was very emotional and interesting something we will always remember. After a long day we went to the hotel, where all the students had a laugh and relaxed before our final day in the Netherlands. DAY THREE: We were up early so we could set off to Efteling theme park! It was a great day with lots of roller-coasters and more sunny weather. From the park we went straight to Rotterdam to catch the ferry back to Hull. Overall, I think the Amsterdam trip was amazing. We all have many great memories which will never be forgotten. Chelsie Singleton - 10HN
