Heys Complex Legend opens new facility
Rhyddings’ new sports complex on the Heys playing fields has been opened by former Blackpool and England right back, Jimmy Armfield CBE. We have been involved for the past several years, in collaboration with Hippings Methodist Primary School and Oswaldtwistle St Mary’s FC, in rebuilding and opening the new Heys Sporting Complex. The facilities consist of six football pitches of various sizes, changing rooms, education facilities and a car park. Headteacher Paul Trickett said: “The re-opening of the field, with stateof-the-art changing facilities, will enable the school once more to bring the fields into curriculum use. This has not been possible for more than 10 years. We will benefit from pitches and training areas that are of extremely high quality, thus enabling the students to develop and use high levels of skills.”

The competition is open to years 7-10, and if you are interested, you need to email Miss Greenhalgh or pop up to the food room to put your name down BEFORE Friday 26th October.
