Dear Parents/ Carers, We are writing to inform you of the new Rhyddings tracker for all students. At Rhyddings we believe all students have the right to learn and responsibility to ensure they are prepared for their learning. The Rhyddings expectations on the tracker focus on the principles of mutual respect and individual responsibility. The three areas include uniform, equipment and punctuality. All students are expected to adhere to the following expectations: Uniform - A smart Rhyddings uniform at all times. •
No makeup, nail polish, acrylic nails or facial piercings. Only one pair of gold or silver stud earrings can be worn, however these should be removed for PE.
•
No unnatural hair colours and no designs/patterns in the hair.
•
No “hoodie” sweatshirt/jumpers.
•
All coats should be in bags unless wet due to weather conditions.
•
No deliberate removal of student ties.
•
No shirts out.
Equipment - The correct equipment at all times. •
A school bag, 2 black/ blue pens, 1 pencil, 1 ruler and a planner.
Punctuality - Be punctual to school and each lesson. •
All students must attend school on time with the arrival of 8:45 to form.
Students can buy equipment in school before registration from the Rhyddings shop. If students attend school wearing trainers without a medical note, they will be expected to change into the school pumps. Mobile phones should not be visible around school during the day. If students are instructed by the teacher to use their mobile phones for learning, clear guidelines will be given by teacher for the lesson. The Rhyddings expectations will lead to a positive, purposeful learning culture. All of our students will develop the skills to be confident and ambitious independent leaners. From the 10th September all students are expected to adhere to the Rhyddings expectation using the Rhyddings tracker. Students will be rewarded for their compliance to the Rhyddings expectations with non-uniform days and prizes. Please see the attached second document for further guidance on parental involvement and sanctions.
