Urban Enclosure in Kalibata City PERSPECTIVE DRAWING Prespective B Observing activities that occur along Kalibata Raya, shadows tend to create zoning for people to stop. This compels the meeting of people at certain places along the area. These condition creates a hub for pedestrians changes transportation modes. Stopping in return appropreates certain areas which own spatial signifiers to users.

PERPECTIVE DRAWING Perspective C

PERSPECTIVE DRAWING Perspctive C The Montage acts as a shelter for people alighting to other modes of transport such as bus, taxis, motorbikes, or cars. Some wait in certain areas which have more shade than other places and better grip on the pavement their walking on, that gives them more confidence of their stance in waiting. This encourages poeple to walk and use public transport to get from places to ease congestion in the are.

PERSPECTIVE DRAWING Prespective B The Knowledge of designing in architecture is derived from typologies and ways on other people tackle certain problems. These problems are obtained by field survey and undertanding issues and problems faced by communities. ‘Tumpang Tindih’ will be a project which identifies public and private issues to achieve a solution that is contextual and unique towards that specific community. This solution is by creating a space that accommodates transactions between seller and customer without interfering with their personal spaces.

Parent Waiting Area PERSPECTIVE DRAWING Children as a subject that is always developing, owns a high curiousity towards it surroundings. But when the surrounding does not encourage them to explore it, they lose the urge to express and understand. Pengkolan Bata is a place to encourage them to understand their surroundings and interact with other children in the area. At the same time, it protects them from oncoming vehicles such as motor bikes .

Mekarsari Fruit Garden Mekarsari, Bogor

Technological Based Building Design

PERSPECTIVE DRAWING This tower is located in Mekarsari Fruit Garden, which stands tall from other buildings in the area. The bigness in size and function is a key factor in designing and realizing Observatower. It is designed to be sustainable from its energy and consumables in the building, Installing wind funnel and sky garden to achieve those goals by being sustainable on a day to day basis. Despite of the glass facade, The building is cooled by a wind effect which moves warm air inside the building upwards towards the main opening and intakes cool air from the its surroundings.

EXPLORATION MODELS FORMATION DIAGRAM

1. A Panoramic view of the whole Fruit Garden is essential, to attract visitor to observe the garden from above

2. The cube shape disrupts wind flow and creating stress on the built structure

3. Substraction of the shape to minimize surface area, but the cube shape create vortex and disrupts wind

4. Turning the building creates a path for the wind to be channeled upwards / downwards, minimizing stress

5. The square shape base still created drag, then a circular base was chosen to minimize wind drag on the building

THIS IS THE PLAN OF THE DEVELOPMENT MODEL, HERE THE TOP ELIPS IS ROTATED 90 DEGREES TOWARDS THE BOTTOM ONE. THE COLUMNS ARE ATTACHED TO THE ELIPS WHILE IT IS ROTATING TO CHANNEL THE PASSING WIND.

THE CIRCULAR ROTATION IS TRANSFERED TO THE INTERNAL CORE WHICH KEEPS THE MODEL FROM DEFORMING TO ITS ORIGINAL FORM.

Wind Circulation System

Morphological Study of Building Facade THE CIRCULAR SHAPE GIVES WAY FOR WIND TO TRAVEL AROUND THE FACADE WITHOUT CREATING DRAG ON THE FACADE’S STRUCTURE.

THE SHAPE IS A BIT BLOATED IN THE MIDDLE AND RELATIVELY STRAIGHT IN THE BACK, SO THAT A LOW PRESSURE WIND COULD BE ACHIEVED AT OPENINGS ON THE EDGES OF THE BUILDING
