RUNNING LOCATIONS

UK TRAIL RUNNING LOCATIONS The UK is full of beautiful, rural places that are ideal for trail running. In fact, there are 15 National Trails across England and Wales, and the Great Trails in Scotland, which are all government funded.

This funding means that these trails are maintained, signposted, and have help guides and websites available to help trail runners prepare. As well as being regularly maintained and kept safe, they are also found in stunning locations.

Blickling Estate, Norfolk Blickling Estate in Norfolk offers a magical route past a redbrick mansion, through splendid gardens, and across acres of historic parkland. When running this route, trail runners will come across beautiful lakes and quiet woods, where they can cool down in the shade on a warm day.

South West Coast Path National Trail This trail runs 630 miles from Minehead in Somerset all the way round to Poole in Dorset and features jaw-dropping coastal views. Whichever part of the trail is chosen to run, trail runners will find varied scenery including beaches, villages and spectacular cliffs. The terrain on this route can be technical and taxing, but this doesn’t mean trail runners should avoid it.
