TIME MANAGEMENT
Time Management: Managing your time in 3rd year
Final Year When i started third year i didnt realise how hectic it would be. We were given a few weeks to select our briefs then we were pretty much on our own. The occasional tutorial and class meetings helped, however it is down to you to manage your time efficiently and effectively between all of your projects. 4 Projects running at the same time was new to me and i found it very difficult splitting time between each project. I would spend more time on my favourite projects and leave the more boring ones un-done. Not forgeting the dissertation that runs throughout the whole process also. Now coming close to finishing my third year, i look back and wish i had managed my time better.
Time Management: Calender for Design solution?
The proposed solution It began looking at ical, and different ways that people manage their time, such as to-do lists, priority lists, advice from teachers etc. I personally find ical quite helpful to remind me of important dates and deadlines as i work part time also. Made specifically for design students in their final year, this software attempts to take into consideration important aspects of your lifestyle and give you a template of how much time you should spend on each project. Once you have an overall time period for each project, you can split the weeks up into a design process that suits you. You can set how many projects you want to work on simultainiously which i found was the main problem, as researching for 4 projects at the same time gets confusing! Other features include to-do lists, links to your tutor, to set you tasks and share informtion with other classmates.
Time Management: Welcome to Design Calender
This is the final design of the best new way to manage your design projects! Once you open design calender for the first time, you will be greeted by the welcome message, and a quick overview of all the features and buttons. Once this is understood, it will then take you through a setup up of your own personal design calender. How many projects you are doing, your deadline, other commitments are all questions you’ll need to answer in order for the calender to generate a calender specific to your lifestyle.
