First Proposal Design Concept The imagery of jigsaw puzzles represent the world built by pieces of dream where we dream walk (and play). The audiences would regard the concretized dream we built as their own dream, indulging themselves in the ridiculous lines and actions.
Design Detail The stage is designed as a dream consisting of a bunch of puzzles. There are 10 layers each represented by different colors on the stage. The further the layer is from the audiences, the deeper the color goes. Each layer has a distance of about 10 centimeters to the next, but there are 100 centimeters between the fourth and the fifth layer to create more space for the performers.
Prototype In order to check the immersive model, I used thin white cards as the visible puzzles and 10 transparent acetate sheets as the non-existing layers to construct the prototype. Then I created a little room to make the space between the layers wider.

Production Process I set the square units as 10 square centimeters, using 3000p white cardboard to present the puzzles and fishing lines to set those cardboards on the right position. To coordinate with the exhibition hall, I used picture hangers to fix the horizontal fishing lines on the wall.

Problem Because of the overly flexible fishing lines (which made the position setting very difficult) and that the rest of the time before the debut after my first field study to the exhibition hall was only 3 days, the proposal should be modified in the last 3 days.
Second Proposal Design Concept Our dream being fragile and unrealistic, I tried to build our unique world piece by piece in our fancy imagination where we are always chasing peace and comfort. Despite the fragility of dreams, we still want to hide behind it. The unstable structure built by the box-shape units reflects the helpless feeling in everyone's mind, though we still want to live with our lies that make us survive in the society. The overexposed pictures of actors and the mirror which reflects whoever faces it makes the audiences regard the actor as themselves during the show. And in the middle is an entire mirror to emphasize the concept of reflection.
Design Detail 3 different size of boxes are the basic units, piled up to construct the wall which separates the stage and backstage. The size of the boxes are respectively 25, 30, and 55 square centimeters. And the colors shown below are dark grey, grey, and white. The sky blue squares are the actors' overexposed photos and mirror.

Design Detail Actors in the backstage could still be seen, and each actor has their own position to stand or sit in. Each actor’s height has been measured, so they would only be covered by their poker face photos with after effects.

Production Process I used white cardboard to make the boxes, fixing it with L-shaped steel to strengthen the structure. To connect the boxes, white elliot folders were used because of the limited time we had before the performance. (we had to reload the entire stage in an hour every day during the show period.) As for the photos, I used strong magnet to fix it on the boxes wall in order to correct the deviation of position during the show.

02 UI DESIGN F O R T H E E L D E R LY - PILL
PILL is an app helping the elderly takes medicines safer and more p u n c t u a l . To c a r e a b o u t t h e p o o r vision and shaky hand of the elderly, user interface design emphsizes on identifiability and easy-to-tap.

Problem With some research and interview, we refine two main problem for taking medicines which the elderly usually have. The first problem is about taking the medicines in wrong ways, including taking it in the wrong time, forgetting taken or not, taking with the other medicines, taking other people's medicines, taking expired medicines and so on. Then, the second problem is about education, including perchasing unknown medicines, wrong storage methods, less medical education and so on.
Insight As the problem we mentioned before, we got four kind of insights. 1. How could we help the elderly to distinguish the different medicines from color, shape, or others? 2. Medical knowledge of medicines 3. How could we help them take the right medicines? 4. How could we make sure they are taking the right medicines?
Functional Map We came up with the main idea which is to ensure the family knowing whether their elderly take medicines or not. At the first time, we were trying to develop two vision of the app, the family & doctor vision and the elderly vision. But as the more discussion, we found out that we only have to develop one vision for two parts of function. The elderly also can see the family's data in the same way, if the elderly is able to learn the method. For the most of the elderly, we make the setting work for their family with the password sending, in order to prevent the elderly changing the setting accidentally.
Co n n ec t i n g a cco u n t The family woiuld be able to connect with the elderly account in order to read the historical record of taking medicines. Within the function, the family could be able to check out whether the elderly taking medicine or not in the right time.
P il l boxe s The one who help the elderly setting the pill boxes would be able to set the type of pill by taking photos and the different frequencies of taking different medicines.
A R tec h n i q u e Using AR technique to help the elderly find the correct pills. The elderly would only have to turn on their camera in "PILL" app when the reminding clock alarm. Taking the camera to the pill boxes and it would show user which is the correct grid at that time.
Design Detail As we mention before, there are two parts in the "PILL" app, main function and setting. For the main function part, we make the button within full color and big size. In addition, we also consider about the frequency of using, so we make the taking medicine button the largest, and then the message button and the medical information button. For the setting part, we don't have to consider about the elder user who can't be easy to see and tap precisely, so we can put more information in that page with a password to prevent from the elderly tapping it accidently.
