When Jonathan Brooks wants to look his best, he turns to small or local businesses that support his functional yet tailored style. As the president of Business Warrior, a marketing software company, Brooks knows how important brand identity is. Often, he can be found wearing a Business Warrior shirt with jeans or joggers and a pair of white sneakers. Giving credit where credit is due, Brooks’ wife has influenced his style throughout the years. “I believe in good basics and staples versus trends and patterns,” he says. “I want to be able to get ready easily without much thought to save time and look good effortlessly.” Brooks stocks his closet with a variety of custom suits made by his tailor-turnedfriend Evan Delaney. “I believe everyone should have one good, tailored suit and a great shoe because it’s best to have it and not need it versus need it and not have it,” he says. “People may not remember a great suit but they definitely remember a bad one and you don’t want to be that guy.”
What is your most prized possession? My cowboy hat that I had custom-made by the same company (Burns Custom Hats) that created the hats for the entire cast of Yellowstone. It was a really cool experience to see how they are made and meet the family behind the business, which started in 1876.
What is your favorite store? I love UNTUCKit because it meets a lot of my style needs of needing extra tall length, combined with the fitted look. Fresh Clean Tees is my go-to everyday wear because of their fit and they cover the basics so well.
How did COVID-10 affect your style? My style has definitely shifted as I used to dress up each day however now that we work from home, I typically rock a Business Warrior shirt and joggers. The athleisure game is strong!
