It is wth great sadness that we announce the passng of Janis Howells at age 75 Jans passed away peacefuly at Richmond General Hosptal after a short battle wth cancer Survived by her oving husband of 57 years Bll; sister Judy (Ron); children Sharon (Mark), Robert (Lz), Rhondda (Scott) Derek (Barb) Trac (Mike); grandchidren Brett, Megan, Jayme, Duke, Daniele, Joey, Lauren and Paige; niece Denise and nephews Dae and Darren

Edith Mae Baxter, age 87, of Richmond, BC, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg, where she had been residing Born December 22, 1935 n Pennfield, NB, she was a daughter of the ate King Winn and Cara (Justason) McLean

Edth wl be greatly missed by daughters Angea (Mke) Worsey, Lower Onslow; Jocelyn (Mark) Wentzell Newburne; sons Stephen (Theresa) Burnaby, BC; Bruce (Kathy), Kincardine; Edwin, Sechelt, BC; nine grandchldren, eight greatgrandchildren and her ssters Maxne Card, Pocoogan, NB and Mary Lou Winn, Miramchi, NB Edith was predeceased by her husband Harry Aford Baxter and her daughter Maxne Louise Sulvan

Edth was born in Pennfield, NB and met her husband n Fredercton whle attendng Teachers Colege (Home Economics) They rased six chldren and ived in varous communites across Canada Edith was a wonderful cook and taught al her chidren to excel in the kitchen As wel she was an amazing seamstress and shared these skls wth her daughters Edth and Harry traveled extensvely; had huge vegetabe gardens that they shared with their communty; had a passion for hkng, canoeng and fishing which aways resulted in Edth endng the day wth the largest catch Edth welcomed newcomers, brides and newborns to the Rchmond area through Wecome Wagon for many years

A Ceebration of Life wll be held at a later date

Margaret went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus, on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She will be missed by her son Kevin (Andrea); daughter Nancy (Matthew); and grandchildren Tyson (Courtney), Bailey (Miranda), Olivia (Kaleb), Jakob (Sarah Kate) and Alyssa She is survived by her brother Toby (Verda).

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Peter, and thirteen brothers and sisters.

CABANA, Danielle Mei

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Danielle Mei Cabana, age 6, on November 26, 2022. She was born on October 3, 2016, in Richmond, British Columbia, to loving parents Denis and Tressa Cabana and her two big sisters, Rylee and Madeleine. Dani attended Diefenbaker Elementary School, where she was adored by her classmates and teachers alike.

Dani loved hockey, hunting, baking, fishing, crafting, animals and her cowboy boots. She was the dragonfly whisperer, often having them land on her finger. Dani’s exuberant personality and passion are an inspiration to everyone who knew her and a model for how we should live. She was a fierce go getter who never gave up no matter what the task. Her beautiful smile was infectious and would bring warmth to any heart.

Dani is survived by her parents, Denis and Tressa; sisters Rylee and Madeleine; great grandparents Siu Kam Tau, Val Owens and Nina Kutny; grandparents Daniel and Moony Cabana, Derrick and Judy Kutny; aunts and uncles, Yolaine Cabana, Kevin and Tressa Kutny, Trevor Kutny, Ashley Tarver; and cousins Michelle, Cole, Tyler and Kyle Kutny.

Danielle’s family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.

April 7, 1928 - January 16, 2023

Duncan passed away peacefuly at Keowna Genera Hospita He was born in Montreal, Quebec to parents Wilam and Jean (nee McLaren) Predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Yvonne, hs partner Martha, hs son Stephen, his daughter Chery and his two ssters Jean and Margaret He is survived by his son Wayne, Wayne’s wfe Edith, his two chidren, Ryan and Jod Ryan’s wife Steph great grandchildren Emma and Maddox, many nieces and nephews and their chldren and Martha’s daughter Heen and her famiy He wll be mssed by hs famiy and many friends at Sandstone

Ken passed away gently from complcations from cancer on January 16th at Richmond Minoru Residence Preceded by parents, Joseph and Jacquelne He is survived by brother Mike (Rosa) and ssters Karen and Jo-Ann (Pat) Ken was a proud father to Jacquelne (Jayson) and gratefu for their relatonship Uncle to Eli, Vanessa, Joey, Valerie and Vicki He was born n Richmond, Britsh Columbia

Ken was quick witted and was aways cracking a oke The BC Lions and Vancouver Canucks were his favourite sports teams and he could name sports stats from amost any year He was an airplane enthusiast, you coud find him watchng airplanes at the Richmond Dyke taking off from the airport, or at the Abbotsford airshow As a ple driver Ken helped buld many bridges, docks, and buldings around the Lower Mainland and British Columbia He aso cut a mean hedge perfecty straight, whie working at his own landscapng company Ken aso drove long hau trucks across Canada and down to Caiforna The famiy would ike to thank the staff at Minoru Residence and Richmond General Hospita for takng care of Ken over the past couple of years
