PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER • LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT INTERN June 2015-Present Raleigh, North Carolina Triangle Greenways Council • Planning the future 123-mile Neuse River National Water Trail, Falls Lake Dam in Raleigh to Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, Seven Springs NC. Bill Flournoy and I are building consensus among potential managing entities, master planning the submission process, and making design recommendations along the trail.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT INTERN March 2015-Present Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina RATIO Design • Created firm wide landscape architecture construction document benchmark set; guidelines & best practices. • Assisted landscape architects in all phases of design efforts including: client meetings, site analysis, concepting, visioning, design development, schematic design, construction documentation, specification, & QA/QC construction administration.

SOLE PROPRIETOR • DESIGNER • BUILDER December 2004-Present North Carolina, Michigan, Costa Rica, Alaska COBB DESIGN+BUILD • Site analysis and consultation, design services, timber framing, landscape carpentry, bridges, trails. • Featured Project 2005-2010:: Master planning, land management strategies, trails system layout, architectural design, and construction on 440 acres of privately owned timber land in Lee County NC. Highlights include the passive solar 650ft2 yellow pine timber framed cabin, an open bay 35’x80’ post and beam tractor barn, a 16’x24’ post and beam utility barn, a 22’ tall enclosed wildlife viewing tower, an 8’x8’x8’ well house, two wooden girder bridges spanning 12’ and 24’, several hundred feet of three rail wooden fencing, and multiple fruit tree grove establishments. • Featured Project 2009:: Architectural design and construction of a 700ft2 white pine timber framed screen house on Lake Medora with adjacent cantilevered docks providing lake access in the geographically unique northern tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

WILDERNESS CARPENTER July 2009-November 2009 Haines, Alaska Borough of Haines, Alaska • Contracted to build a mile of remote backcountry stairs, step and run, boardwalk and bridges on the Mt. Rapinsky trail. FORESTRY TECHNICIAN RECREATION • CABINS, TRAILS May-October 2004 Juneau, Alaska Admiralty Island National Monument Tongass National Forest US Forest Service • Constructed and maintained cabins and trails on the remote one million-acre Admiralty Island National Monument. • Crew leader responsible for directing remote backcountry work of crew and volunteer groups. • Coordinated logistics for remote projects including float and flight planning to and from Admiralty Island.
