Feature Your Business at the Business Open House The Tooele County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Sixth Annual Business Open House, to be held at the Tooele City Park located on Vine Street and 200 West. The event will be held on September 2nd, 2009. This Open House allows businesses to showcase their products and services to businesses and the community. This is a great opportunity to get the word out about your business. Being seen and being found are what every business needs. The Tooele County Chamber of Commerce Business Open House helps maximize your exposure to the business community and the county’s consumers. As an Exhibitor, you will receive: High Traffic 10’ x 10’ booth , listing in program as an exhibitor; one table, two chairs, electrical power and 2 free tickets to “Taste of Tooele”. You will also be entered into a drawing sponsored by Shawn Milne, Click Audio Video; to win a surveillance system for your business! All this for a small investment of $75. Chamber sponsors Livestock Show Buyers Breakfast For the past two years, the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the buyers breakfast for the Tooele County Fair Junior Livestock Auction. The Auction is an important part of the annual Tooele County Fair. The breakfast provides an excellent opportunity for buyers and exhibitors to become acquainted before the auction. Food was purchased and donated by the Chamber, MountainWest Medical Center and Maceys. Volunteers from the Chamber and the Kiwanis Club of Tooele, served over 200 guests on Saturday, August 1st. Ham, eggs, hash browns and pancakes were on the menu! The Tooele FFA officers

also helped with the project, which was used as a fundraiser for the FFA students. The Junior Livestock Auction is the culmination of a year of livestock management by 4-H and FFA members. The young men and women who participate have selected, fed and groomed a steer, lamb or hog to exhibit at the show. The animals are judged and then sold at the auction. This year the total sales were over $119,000 . 221 steers, hogs and lambs were sold and purchased this year by local businesses and individuals. 4-H and FFA leaders wish to extend a huge “Thank you” to the businesses who participated in this year’s show. “Thanks” also goes to the many volunteers who make this event such a great success.
