2024 summer camp programs

We are so happy you have decided to be a part of Landmark Preschool’s Summer Program. Landmark Preschool is committed to providing fun and engaging opportunities for children to enjoy their summers by learning, making friends, and giving them a chance to try something new. Our property is designed to allow each child to have an appreciation for the freedom of the outdoors, while at the same time being properly supervised. We have many great weekly themes to keep even the littlest child happy and entertained! But in truth, we know our fun outside activities are always the highlight of the summer. Our director and staff place your child’s safety and well-being as their first priority at all times. If you have further questions, please call the Bedford Campus at (914) 234-2300.

SUMMER PROGRAM portal

Summer Program Portal

We have launched our new Summer Program Portal which has been designed to provide you with easy access to essential information and general resources such as the Summer Camp Parent Handbook, Topical (non-medication) forms, and Refund & Withdrawal Policy. An email has been sent to all summer program families with directions on how to access your portal.

Magnus Health

RA | LP has partnered with Magnus Health to fully encrypt and digitize our health records system. You can access your online Magnus Health account through the Summer Program Portal. For your child(ren) to participate in an RA | LP summer program, families must upload a current (within 12 months) NY State of Health form and immunization page before their first day of camp.

If your child has an allergy that requires staff to administer prescription medications (such as Benadryl/EpiPen), you will also need to upload their Emergency Health Care Plan form into the Magnus Health portal Please notify Sarah McKimmie at smckimmie@landmarkpreschool org if you need an Emergency Health Care Plan along with a Medication Authorization form.

Our Illness Guidelines

A primary step in preventing the spread of infection is the removal of sick students from the camp environment and the classroom. Parents are the best observers of their children and know when they are out of sorts. If your child does not feel well, please do not send them to camp. Our policy is to call you to pick them up if they are not well. When a student becomes ill at camp, he/she will rest comfortably while parents are notified.

Here are some guidelines that have been formulated in consultation with several medical practitioners:

Any fever of 100 degrees or more – the child should be out of school until the fever has been gone for at least 24 hours without the use of medication. The child should be watched carefully on the first day back for any relapse and will be sent home if this occurs.

Any prolonged or unidentifiable rash must be seen by a physician and a doctor’s note must be provided to return to school.

Any eye drainage or red, itchy eye – the child should be examined by a physician. If medication is required, the child must be on it for 24 hours before returning.

Any child with colored mucus drainage should be out of camp until the symptoms are gone or a physician examines the child.

Coughing – if there is persistent or excessive coughing and/or sneezing, the child should remain out of camp or be examined by a physician.

Antibiotics – children should be on antibiotics 24-48 hours before returning to camp If symptoms persist, a physician should re-examine the child, as the infection may be resistant to medication.

Any vomiting – the child should be out of camp for a minimum of 24 hours, watched for a fever, and should stay out until free of all symptoms.

Any diarrhea – the child should be out of camp for a minimum of 24 hours, watched for a fever, and should stay out until free of all symptoms.

Lice – a child will be sent home to be treated and will only be allowed back in camp when all nits have been removed or a physician proves a note.

Please notify the office or your camp counselor if your child has a contagious illness so we can notify campmates and their parents.

When to Keep Your Child Home

If your child is not feeling well, we are requesting that a camper stay home for any of the following symptoms, Fever or chills; Cough; Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; Fatigue; Muscle or body aches; Headaches; New loss of taste or smell; Sore throat; Congestion or runny nose; Nausea or vomiting; Diarrhea -- which is in accordance with Landmark Preschool protocols during this past school year.

Rainy Days

Rainy days don’t get us down at Landmark! We have plenty of indoor activities planned in the event of rain.
