Inspired by local pirate lore from my town of Saint Augustine, FL, I hope the collection encourages kids to be adventurous, and to learn history. I did lots of research for the collection—pulling out old college textbooks, reading online scholar research, and visiting the local pirate museum to check my facts. @artisttarareed I’ll confess: golf isn’t my game. But as an artist I appreciate the history, prints, textures and traditions of the game. My brother-in-law Mike is an avid golfer and I can’t help but admire the wide array of plaid pants, eccentric shorts and more that he happily wears on the course. The clubs, greens and gorgeous grounds are also visual fodder for my artist’s eye. @diaryofaquilter Portsmouth, New Hampshire might be one of my favorite places on the planet. Twenty-five years ago I married into a New England family - my husband’s parents and extended family are all from Portsmouth and southern Maine, right on the Atlantic coast. As a result I’ve been able to spend many summer vacations and family reunions soaking in the New England nautical perfection: beaches, sailboats, lighthouses, thriving hydrangeas, the smell of saltwater, and American flags and buntings hanging from colonial houses built before 1776. This collection is inspired by faded vintage quilts at the beach, sand in your toes, celebrating summer and the 4th of July with flags and picnics, lobster rolls and barbecue, and ending the day with the perfect sunset.

@ankastreasures Meadow Lane is the street that my parents lived on, and I’ve always wanted to do a fabric line with it as my inspiration. When I imagine what fabrics might live in a house on Meadow Lane, these prints come to mind. I can imagine walking down the lane and seeing a little cottage with a white picket fence. The yard outside the cottage would be full of flowers in bright, fresh colors, surrounded by green grass. Inside the cottage would be gingham curtains on the windows and pretty quilts on the beds and walls. The patterns that I created for this collection are what I envision filling that charming little Gingham Cottage with.

Flower Show Coastal Walk captures the glory of an everchanging coastline – as light sky blues and chambrays graduate into deep ultramarine and indigo, punctuated by flashes of green and chartreuse yellow. Grounded by neutral pebble hues, the result is a sophisticated and tonal palette guaranteed to bring any crafting project into full bloom.
