ALLISON AND LILLIA OP SINGLE – TAMEIKI NO HASHI – REVIEW June 27th, 2008 | Posted in Soundtrack Reviews by zzeroparticle Anime Instrumentality Blog: http://blog.animeinstrumentality.net/2008/06/alli son-and-lillia-op-single-tameiki-no-hashi-review/

Review: For an anime series that is about the adventures of two children and their children, the introduction theme “Tameiki no Hashi” is awfully melancholic. It starts off with an archaic-sounding acoustic guitar accompanied by some recorders. Shione Yukawa’s voice evokes an image of people getting ready to travel on a grand adventure. The song at its core is pretty simplistic and there’s an aura of melancholy about this piece as though the travelers understand that this may be their last time at home. If there’s anything I found enjoyable in this song, it’s the way the instruments blended together really well to create a sense of longing and nostalgia in the listener. All in all, this ballad is fairly decent though it’s not exactly going to raise too many eyebrows or catch anyone’s attention right off the bat.

“Natsu Kara Aki he Wataru Hashi” is a bit more upbeat with its bouncy melody played by the recorder accompanied by a steady rhythm in the background. The melody does repeat itself with some slight variations in the accompaniment and this song makes me feel like I’m traveling through the countryside on some wagon while the breeze blows on by. While the image it invokes is pretty light-hearted and enjoyable, it doesn’t really manage to distinguish itself aside from the instrumentation. Because of that, this is also going to rate above average. Finally, we come to “Peach Wellpark no Nagai Kisetsu” which really sounds like it belongs in some scene from Azumanga Daioh with its mellow recorder melody that soon becomes pretty repetitive. Again, it’s an enjoyable track, but nothing that’d be readily memorable. The way the piece flows, it just sort of relegates itself to the background without really making a strong impact. Maybe that’s because of how lazy this track sounds, especially with the horns and other brass instruments. Tameiki no Hashi is a fun little diversion if that’s what you’re looking for, but if you’re looking to be stunned or impressed by what this album has to offer, you’re better off looking elsewhere. Honestly, while the music is good on its own merits, it’s not one that you’ll come back to time and time again. Give it a listen just for the quirkiness of the recorder melodies and turn away to greener pastures because there are far better OP/ED singles than this one. Rating: So-so

Taking an inverse approach to the usual world saving of fiction, World Destruction follows a strange production process of first being an anime, then simultaneously getting a manga version published, and in September will be an RPG for the Nintendo DS. In a world reduced to a wasteland and conquered by beastmen, humanity has become jaded with their exis-

tence. Kirie (Mamoru Miyano), a boy working in a cafe, had resigned himself to not caring about where the world was headed or how it was going to end. Around that time, however, a new cult, the World Destruction Committee, was forming to bring about the end of the world and making quite an impact on the human population. Soon afterwards, Kirie meets a girl of the Committee named Morte (Maaya Sakamoto) who claims that Kirie has inside of him the “Destruction Code,” something
KIMI NI TODOKE (FROM ME TO YOU)
Sawako Kuronuma is the perfect heroine... for a horror movie. With her jet-black hair, sinister smile, and silent demeanor, she's often mistaken for Sadako, the haunting character from Ringu. Unbeknownst to but a few, behind her scary facade is a very misunderstood teenager. Shy and pure of heart, she just wants to make friends. But when Kazehaya, the most popular boy in class, befriends her, she's sure to make more than just that - she's about to make some enemies, too! Episodes: 13 Total
that has the power to destroy the world. Joined by Tobbi the beastman (Tohru Furuya), the three set off on a journey to end the world. With the story written by Masato Kato of Xenogears fame and an all-star voice cast, we can expect at the very least an interesting ride. Seeing how they play out total annihilation as something a hero strives for sounds oddly appealing, as well.

Moon) so this made me really happy, so then I http://feimo.deviantart.com/art/First-froststarted searching for other artwork that looked ‘real’. So I came 111221592 across many different ones, they are in my Super Favs folder under my deviant art account. I like the one below as well. It reminded me of one of my manga characters. And that’s it. So how did they become our new image for our id cards...I just asked the artist’s if I could use them and so here we are. The only problem is that for our member ID cards the whole picture won’t be viewable, so I figured that everyone should see the whole picture….heh! So please visit the artists’ and make a comment if you have a deviant art account. Thanks!

I N T HE S P Seeming to rise out of no where this popular music anime has made a big boom for only 12 episodes. It’s funny and the music is really good, so this is a great series to watch, if you don’t believe me, well, you can become a member and watch it or download from the club website or go to Animesuki.com and download it. But I think it’s awesome, here are some cosplay pics and anime pics to make you drool…. Story Summary: It's Yui Hirasawa's first year in high school, and she's eagerly searching for a club to join. At the same time, Ritsu Tainaka, a drummer, and her friend Mio Akiyama, a bassist, are desperately trying to save the school's light music club, which is about to be disbanded due to lack of members. They manage to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki to play the keyboard, meaning they only need one more member to get the club running again. Yui joins, thinking it will be an easy experience for her to play the castanets, the only instrument she knows. However, the other members think their new addition is actually a guitar prodigy...

One of the hardest things to imagine in manga would be music, whether it’s singing or instruments. But for some reason the manga about music or singing are the ones I like best. They are full of action and emotions like no other manga series. And this series is one of the best. I would love to see this as an anime (as well as VS. Versus) series because I could just imagine their voices. But somehow if they don’t do it right it could become a disappointment...ah, well! So what is this story about?? 14-year-old Rin Amami is a gifted dancer who has been forced to give up his dream of becoming a singer like his mom because of his deep, frog-like voice. A chance encounter with the idol singing group Beatmen, however, gives him the opportunity to bring his old dream to life. Despite its oddness, his voice possesses a certain charisma: a captivating power, recognized by some as the legendary 'Dragon Voice.' Rin's destiny becomes intertwined with the Beatmen, Shino, Goh, Toshi, and Yuhgo, as the smalltime idol agency RedShoes attempts to take them to the top! So do I like and recommend this series because of the main character, Rin Amami, have the same first name...no, not at all...though it could pass for a reason. No I like this series because Rin has passion, each character has very interesting backgrounds and their personalities show and the storyline is really good, the art work is fabulous and it’s longer than 5 volumes. What can I say...I give it 5 stars…and to tempt you, I’ve included some scans from the first few chapters. Read the first 36 at MangaFox.com.
