Erik Carlson thought the academic programs he investigated at larger universities were too limiting, saying, “In four years, you could only take three electives.” But at Ripon, he found the flexibility to explore many areas of interest. He’s majoring in history and math with a minor in Latin and spent a semester abroad in Swansea, Wales. Majors — more than meets the eye. About 40% of our students complete double or triple majors, while some create special self-designed majors. Many complement their major with one of our minors, such as Leadership Studies, to truly customize their programs. Off-campus study opportunities as wide as the world. From our exchange program with Fisk University to tropical field research in Costa Rica, all 32 of our off-campus programs are officially affiliated with Ripon. That means all your credits transfer and you can apply your financial aid to one full semester of study. Internships — the link between college and what comes next.
