I would like to welcome everyone to the year 2019. 2018 saw a great deal of progress for the Upstate Chapter of the FAMU Alumni Association. If you think about it, in 2018 we were coming off the visit of the (then) Interim President Larry Robinson and approximately nine Deans or Assistant Deans coming to the Upstate in search of potential scholars and for meetings with the business community to start forming relationships to hopefully forge a relationship that would lead to internships and employment opportunities for the local scholars heading to FAMU for their education. Also in this visit, the President and the team traveling with him meet with the Greenville Hospital System, other Universities and lead-

ing organizations to discuss the needs of these organizations to have a high level of quality minorities to employ in their businesses and in their organizations
