The architectural concept of the Porsche Center is based on a modular system. When assembled, they take on an urban character of city blocks. Each module represents a thematic world and embodies the concept of Porsche product in display. The Ground Floor is disected by a highway which is populated by Porsche car models for open display to the public. The dynamic facade arounf the showroom opens up by twisting itself signifying the entrance and allowing the natural light to penetrate the interior. And during the night it allows the interior ambience to project on the surroundings.
PROFESSIONAL PROJECT
The dynamic facade of Porsche consists of 4 transitioning panels in each row, represented in Red, Yellow and Orange color, helps to get natural light and makes a visual connection between interior and exterior. The opening in the aluminium facade widens as we go down from the apex of the building to the entrance. The bottom of each row is connected with red LED lights to signify the entrance.

Dalseong Arena Status-Competition
-Dalseong, South Korea. -Architecture competition -Team Work (Ritayan Rath, Kiwoo Kim, Hanyeol Paik) -Contribution: Concept Development, DiaThe space is strategized to accommodate various sports and cultural activities. It is a multifunctional gymnasium. From outside it appears to be simple and straight polygonal body, which contributes to its elegance in form. It gives a glimpse of the internal space which is enveloped by an organic wall, which is in contrast with the external faรงade. The void between these two walls is occupied by public activity space and is exposed by a glass faรงade giving rise to deep space. This irradiates the icon for the city. The essential architectural elements along with eco-friendly and sustainable technology are considered in designing the structure.

The elevation is composed of two distinct surfaces: open and close. The closed surface is divided horizontally into four segments and the cross-section is composed of pre-fabricated concrete panels one on top of the other and the connection is utilized for natural ventilation. The glass openings are designed I different size and shape to get natural light in each of the functional spaces. The main glass is triple glazed glass to maximize the insulation performance. Blinds are also provided besides the glass to allow the intake of natural sunlight.
The design sits on the site by least manipulating the existing typography and extending it to its interior organic wall, as a bow to the majestic nature. The main hall, the seating area and the daily sports activity room is visually connected with each other, which allows natural light from the roof to all these spaces.
Forming Mass Considering the size and function of the program mentioned in the brief an effort is spent in grounding the structure on the site without disturbing the existing typography
Transforming Mass 1: By adding public spaces like the entrance lobby, cafĂŠ, lounge, bar and meeting areas to the void space, a transition space is created between the exterior and the gymnasium.
Transforming mass 2: An opening is created on the external façade to emphasize the volume and to allow a glimpse to the interior organic wall.
Transforming mass 3: The interior organic structure embraces the seating area, cafĂŠ, technical areas, meeting areas, announcement spaces, daily sports activity room, etc and envelops the badminton courts. It gives identity to each of the spaces.

Given the proximity to Qatars established horse racing and endurance racing platform, it provides a unique oppertunity to develop the areas prescence within the sporting community. The concept will combine the aspect of movement and forces, essentially giving functions forces based on importance to the cohesion of the site. SEGMENTS

Turning the existing context as a random force of impact on the site will create non uniform spaces and impact the overall circulation space, moulding the site into an effective space for new social activities increasing the longevity of the environment.
EQUESTRIAN GARDENS
The edges of the local context acts as the random forces surrounding the site and are extended to disect the site forming a series of networks intersecting each other.

Social Capital and Spatial Filteration Master Thesis
-Eyssenstrasse 3, Frankfurt, Germany. -Staedelschule (2012-2013) -Prof. Christian Veddeler (UN Studio) Four Knowledge Systems (Google, Amazon’s Mechanical Turk, Wiesner’s Educational Model and Social Capital) were studied and combined to form a condensed knowledge system, which are then given a shape of a series of prototypes which in later stage are developed as an Architectural design. The space is a conjuncture of Library, Seminar Rooms, Knowledge Database, Galleries and Workshops.
PROTOTYPE: Centre
Shifting of Centre
Module
Foetus inside the womb
Foetus inside the foetus of a womb
Analysis of the module: A series of prototypes were made considering the form of infinity as a module. The center of infinity is shifted to one side to break the symmetry and making a set of head (the small loop) and a womb (the larger loop). The experiments were done in two phases.
Datatbase
Information Racks
As a result a set of surface patterns were created giving rise to different spatial qualities, visual connection between spaces, sloped/staired circulatory spaces and an internal core giving it structural stability. In these experiments the modeules are mated with one another making a tail with different form and structure. Those different structures were combined with one another to give spatial and structural qualities.
Sitout/ Reading/ Working
Circulation Ramp
A series of experiments were done with the set by putting one module inside the other, where the internal module is called the foetus. And a similar thing is done by putting a foetus inside the foetus to judge the spatial potential of the module. It emphasized the idea of containment of a major programme and its sub-pro grammes inside it.
This condensed system of sharing knowledge is achieved by coverging the system of google, amazon’s mechanical turk, wiesner’s educational model and social capital. Function: The engine of the system is shared by database, bots, turk and social capital. Database provides the storage space for all the artifacts, books and virtual data. Bots manages all the data to search for and hires researchers or puts it as a task in the turk space and specifies a reward for the data provider.
PROGRAMMATIC DIAGRAM
And turk space on the other hand are driven by requestors and workers. Problems and tasks are put forward in the area along with respective rewards for the worker/workers to provide solution to it within a particular time. And after an entry is choosen by the requestor, the rest of the entries are transferred to the database’s artifact or gallery section. This will help other probable requestors to examine these entries and bringing them in contact with the specific workers and their works. This gives rise to social capital. Social capital refers to the institutions, relationships and norms that shape the quality and quantity of a society’s social interactions. Increasing evidence shows that social cohesion is critical for societies to prosper economically and for development to be sustainable. Social capital is not just the sum of institutions which underpin the society, it is a glue that holds them together. This phenomena is empowered by providing reading rooms, information pockets and capsules in the space. Information pockets can be explained as a pocket where a visitor comes with a particular information (physical or virtual) of his own interest and settles there with some featuring keywords. It helps other visitors/scholars/researchers to directly approach the the pocket instead of searching around in the database, creating a knowledge circle in the pocket itself. Similarly capsules are spaces for presentations, discussions and seminars. Topics are decided by the visitors and are finalised by the bots depending on the number of votes each of the topics receive.

DESIGN CLASSIFICATION - TURK SPACE :Turk space is situated in the lower half of the structure, including level -1, level 1 and level 0. It deals with the basic needs of the visitors, workers and the requestors. All the surfaces in this zone is made writable, allowing the users to be their own interior decorators. Here people can request for solutions for the requested problems/tasks. Way by using respective counters and providing specific tools for the tasks to work on the solutions. - DATABASE : Database is located in the upper half of the structure in level 2, level 3 and level 4. Necessary facilities required for a general library and gallery space or knowledge sharing spaces like lecture theatres and seminar halls (capsules) are capacitated in this zone. Additional facilities like information pockets, study rings.
