elcome aboard to see Thailand through my eyes on my maiden trip abroad. In the next few pages you’ll see the pictures I've clicked, the journal I wrote and a brief narrative of my experiences. After a flight from India, my home, to the beautiful city of Bangkok, Thailand, I decided to stay by the beautiful river Chao Phraya at Hotel Ibis River side. An economical hotel option, just a little far from the Airport.

GRAND

PALACE

T

The Grand Palace was the house of the Great King Rama I. What really fascinated me was the miniature replica of Angkor Wat of Cambodia. I wonder how they managed to do this in a time when photography was not invented.

You get to enjoy a cool ferry ride on the ‘River of the King’ before you reach ‘Wat Arun’, the temple of dawn. The temple had really scary steep steps. The next stop was China Town. It’s quaint and the smell there was a little too strong for me to handle.

This is a bridge with a great history on the river Kwai. For those who’ve seen the movie don’t need the guide’s commentary. The lunch at the restaurant by the river was the highlight of the visit.
