TRAIN TERMINAL

This is a proposed International train terminal project in Siem Reap, Cambodia in which connect from Cambodia to Thailand according to future ASEAN Train railway map. This thesis was done during bachelor of Architecture (2017) and since the location of Siem Reap is a cultural city where there are lots of temples, this design was inspired by the five pointed tip of Angkor wat temple. As the temple and khmer traditional architecture mostly comes with roof and different level of roof, this design has been coverted into different level of roof as a contemporary architecture but still reflects khmer identity. Each roof has the top view of the lotus leaf which represent the tradition of Cambodian that always bring the lotus to the temple or to worship the Buddha.
