The Riviera difference
Your time away is precious and should never be compromised. Nobody knows that better than us. It’s a privilege that our guests trust us time and time again to look after their holiday plans, and that’s why we never take anything for granted.
Unrivalled holidays, created by our Masters of Travel
At Riviera, we are totally obsessed about travel. Holidays can be where some of the best memories of our lives are made. It’s no small feat to create our tours and cruises, and we are proud to call ourselves ‘Masters of Travel’, curators of the finest holidays. A bold claim, but one we really believe in. Our specialists go the extra mile when creating our itineraries, and they are genuinely passionate about the destinations we visit, so when you book one of our holidays, you know you are getting decades of experience in every detail.
This also shows in how we’ve thoughtfully balanced out seeing the iconic sites each destination is known for, with time to tread the paths less travelled so that you can really get under its skin and get a new perspective away from the tourist trail. And we’re so confident in the quality of our itineraries that we offer a ‘Happiness Guarantee’: If you’re not completely happy by the second day of your holiday, we’ll bring you straight home and give you a full refund.
We’ll look after you like family
When you book with Riviera Travel, you are not just booking a holiday, you are joining our family. That may seem extreme for a travel company, but we really mean it – we’ll take care of you as one of our own. But the proof is in the pudding. That’s why we’ve been awarded the esteemed ‘Recommended Provider’ accreditation by Which? for 12 years, and why 96% of our customers would book with us again. Our knowledgeable and friendly team are committed to making every step easy and enjoyable –from the moment you first contact us, to the very end of your journey when you arrive home happy and with a camera full of memories. While you travel, our experienced Tour Managers will go above and beyond to ensure every aspect of your holiday runs smoothly. So, with every detail taken care of, all you need to worry about is your packing!
Exclusive travel, without the price tag
One thing we will never compromise on is quality. It’s at the heart of every Riviera Travel holiday. It’s not just the hand-picked hotels that are a given when booking a holiday –although they are included, of course – but it’s also the small-but-important details, such as all of the included experiences with passionate local guides and an expert Riviera Tour Manager looking after you throughout.
We believe that travel shouldn’t cost the earth and we offer the best value for money – we’re so confident you won’t find the same quality of experience for less elsewhere that if you do, we’ll refund you the difference.
We know it’s normally rude to discuss age, but we’re incredibly proud to have 40 years of experience as the UK’s leading tour operator. It’s this history, the scale of our business and the strong relationships we’ve built with our suppliers (which enables us to negotiate exceptional rates) that means we can offer such remarkable value – and we pass those savings straight back to you. Our prices are fair and straightforward, with no hidden extras.
You make the choices, we do the hard work
Variety is the spice of life, and there’s no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to the perfect travel experience. To make sure you can tailor your holiday to suit you, we’ve built choice into every aspect of our holidays, putting you in control. Choose from our extensive collection of holidays, then customise your experience to your exact requirements. Whether you want to upgrade your travel, extend your trip, or add special excursions or visits to suit your interests, we’ll do the hard work behind the scenes to bring your perfect trip to life. But freedom and flexibility doesn’t mean a lack of support. You’ll be looked after by our award-winning team every step of the way, and if anything goes awry, we’ll take care of it so you can enjoy every single moment.

Life on board
It’s no exaggeration to say that our yachts are super stylish and sophisticated, but don’t worry about it being overly formal – life on board is leisurely and relaxed. And with an impressive 4:1 guest to crew ratio, you can expect attentive, personal service. You’ll never want to go home.
A typical day
It goes without saying that you’ll be starting the day right with a delicious breakfast, and it’s a real event as you’ll be eating as you sail the Adriatic’s turquoise waters, staying close to shore so that you get glorious coastal vistas. While away the minutes with a lazy morning on the sun deck, letting the lapping waves slowly wake you up.
Next, it’s time to drop anchor in a tranquil deserted bay. You may even be able to convince yourself that this is your own private yacht, as you jump (or gently step) off the back of the ship for a refreshing swim. Back on board, there’s more relaxation with unreal views on the menu as you tuck in to a delicious lunch, chatting with your fellow cruisers about what lies in store at the next port of call.
Relaxed dining
What tickles your fancy for breakfast? Eggs and bacon? Pastries and coffee? You’ll not be bored on board as you’ll have a selection of hot and cold options. Lunch and dinner are even better, if that’s possible, with mouthwatering set menus inspired by local cuisine. Enjoy delicious meat and fish dishes and crisp salads, all freshly prepared and served with finesse and a smile. Of course, no cruise is complete without the superb Captain’s Dinner, when the chef serves an extra-special menu inspired by Croatian and Mediterranean flavours. It’s a highlight, for sure.
Casual elegance
You can leave your ball gown and tux at home as shorts and t-shirts are the order of the day! And there is no seating plan, so you choose your own table and dining companions. We won’t be surprised if you
Speaking of ports, when you arrive, you’ll hop ashore and instantly be immersed in Croatian culture and history. The cobbled streets and honey-coloured buildings add another layer of magic and are just perfect for getting lost in. Find hole-in-the-wall eateries serving up gelato and pastries, browse the little shops filled with curiosities, then find a spot to sip an aperitif as the sun goes down. Then, as we’re sure you’ve worked up quite an appetite by now, you’ll find a restaurant of your choice (the crew can make recommendations if you need it), then top off the evening with your favourite nightcap on the ship’s terrace.
quickly get to know your crew and fellow sailors on first name terms, as the atmosphere on board is so warm and friendly.
Your choice of restaurants ashore
Sampling the local cuisine on holiday is all part of the fun as far as we’re concerned, so we’ve made sure there’s times to dine ashore when lunch or dinner is not served on board. Our ships are moored overnight so every evening you can step straight off the vessel for an evening stroll or a digestif with the locals in an atmospheric little bar before heading back on board. rivieratravel.co.uk/ocean-cruises/ life-on-board-yacht-cruises
Your exclusive yacht
Elegant, glamorous, exclusive. If your idea of a perfect holiday includes these three words, it’s time to consider a luxury yacht cruise.
Opulence on board
You’ll feel like the captain of your own ship as you stand on the sun deck as the yacht glides along the postcard-worthy Adriatic coastline. On the deck below you’ll find the elegantyet-informal restaurant and bar where you’ll be dining in style with your fellow travelling companions whilst enjoying those endless views through the panoramic windows. And if you’re not ready for the night to be over just yet, there’s the stylish terrace area, which is the perfect spot to catch up on some reading or for a chat over coffee (we won’t tell anyone if you make it Irish!).
Welcoming, professional crew
It goes without saying that every tiny detail is meticulously inspected before you’re welcomed on board. Your friendly crew are always on hand to look after your every whim without ever being intrusive, and with a generous 4:1 ratio of guests to crew, you are guaranteed that personal attention that makes you feel like a VIP. Working closely with the Riviera Tour Manager, the Englishspeaking crew will anticipate your every need in a manner which is intuitive and efficient yet discreet and friendly.
Your cabin
A holiday is the last place you should be compromising on comfort. That’s why our cabins are spacious and stylish, providing the perfect haven to unwind and recharge.
Get comfortable and cosy
You’ll often hear us compare our ships to a floating boutique hotel, but that’s because it’s true! Whichever deck you choose, our elegantly furnished, fully air-conditioned cabins are the perfect place to relax.
Cabins are surprisingly bright, airy and spacious, with comfortable hotel-style beds made up with crisp linens, and well-appointed ensuites. Cabins mostly have porthole windows to allow plenty of natural light in, but some ships also have cabins with their own private balcony so you can enjoy the panoramic views in the privacy of your own home-from-home.
Exceptionally comfortable hotel-style beds with crisp linen ensure you’re well-rested at the end of each day. Cabins with their own private balcony are also available on certain ships so you can enjoy the panoramic views without even stepping out of your cabin!
Your contemporary bathroom won’t disappoint either – well-lit, spacious and superbly appointed with smart fittings and a walk-in shower cubicle. We know you’ll be impressed.

This morning we’ll say farewell to your crew, disembarking MV Corona and heading inland for the next leg of our adventure, across the border and into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the most beautiful natural sites in the country, Kravice waterfalls is located on the Trebižat River. The falls stand approximately 25 metres high with 20 waterfalls cascading into the lake below. Enjoy a visit here to admire the crystal waters and lush green surroundings.
Continuing on, we’ll visit a local winery for a tasting that includes local prosciutto and cheese followed by a traditional ‘under the bell’ lunch.
This afternoon, we will arrive at the city of Mostar. We’ll enjoy a short, guided tour this afternoon absorbing the sights and sounds of this atmospheric place, admiring the mix of centuries-old Turkish architecture jostling alongside fine 19th-century buildings reminiscent of Central Europe. We’ll venture out to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo. This hidden gem brings together a wealth of history and culture. Situated in a valley with a river running through its centre and surrounded by forests on all sides, the city seems like it’s been plucked from the pages of a fairytale.
On our guided tour this morning, we’ll see the Sebilj Brunnen Fountain and Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque – built in 1530, it’s the largest in Sarajevo Centre. We’ll see the spectacular City Hall built in
pseudo-Moorish style between 18921894. As well as stroll along the Miljacka river, passing the Latin bridge – the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in 1914, which began the July Crisis that ultimately led to the outbreak of World War I.
After our morning tour, there’ll be some free time for lunch – the cobbled streets of the 15th-century old town, or Bascarsij, are the perfect place to soak up a slice of local life and enjoy a spot of people-watching with a cup of Bosnian coffee.
We’ll then visit the Tunnel of Hope Museum to learn more about the history of Sarajevo and the site itself.
Built during the 1992 – 96 siege, when Sarajevo was surrounded by Bosnian Serb forces and supported by the Yugoslav’s People’s Army, the Tunnel of Hope was the city’s only link to the outside world. It was thanks to the 800m-long, 1m-wide, 1.6m-high tunnel between two houses on opposite sides of the airport runway that the besieged city of Sarajevo regained access to just enough food and electricity to survive and by the end of the war, it also housed telephone lines and oil supplies.
Later, we’ll return to Mostar and spend the evening at leisure. (B)
+ Included Experience – Full-day tour of Sarajevo, including a visit to the Tunnel of Hope Museum
DAY 10 – Mostar, Vjetrenica & Trebinje
On our way out of Mostar, we’ll make a short stop at a local Turkish coffee house, evidence of the longstanding influence of Ottoman rule in the region, for a tasting. Coffee has been a part of
life here since the 16th century as coffee houses became social centres where people gathered to talk, listen to music or play games- a tradition that is still practised today.
Continuing on to Vjetrenica, in the Dinaric Alps Mountain range, we’ll visit a fascinating cave system. Its main canal nearly two and a half thousand metres long and the largest lake, some one hundred and eighty metres long. It’s been described as the richest cave in the world in terms of its subterranean biodiversity, providing a home to more than 200 animal species, of which 40 were discovered right here in the cave system – it’s so important it was granted UNESCO World Heritage status.
After our visit to the caves, we’ll drive to Trebinje, situated on the banks of the Trebišnjica River in the heart of East Herzegovina. Here we’ll spend our last evening. On arrival, you can enjoy some free time for a bite to eat before our guided tour this afternoon. Our local guide will introduce us to this enchanting town with a compact centre, including a small walled town and market square – perfect for exploring on foot. This evening, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel – a chance to reminisce on the highlights of the trip. With your newfound friends. (B,D)

Life on board
Reset, recharge, renew. It’s time to slow the pace, hold the news and let the good times roll. Step into the romance of the nautical golden age on a Tall Ship cruise to discover the unbridled joy of being at sea, all without compromising on your creature comforts.
For a real authentic sailing experience, you can’t get better than the Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer. These ships are truly exquisite. From the immaculate sun deck where sun loungers beckon for a spot of sun worshipping, to the well-appointed cabins where you can create a stylish home-fromhome, you’re surrounded by beauty. And that’s before we’ve even mentioned the natural beauty of the azure waters and rugged coastline that steals the scene at every turn. Add to that the dramatic raising of the sails whilst a pod of young dolphins dance in the bow wave of the ship, and you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a dream.
Despite all of this chicness, life on board is beautifully informal, so you can unwind and really make yourself at home. You’ll find every ship is remarkably spacious and cleverly designed so that you’ll always be able to find places to enjoy your own company and a quiet moment to yourself to listen to the waves lapping on the hull or watch a memorable sunset. Catch up on some reading in the gentile ambience of the ship’s library with its wood panelling and elegant upholstery, unwind in the comfort of your beautiful cabin or just drink in the sea air and panoramic views up on deck with a long drink from the Tropical Bar and let your cares drift away.
Let’s not forget the culinary pleasures that await in the ship’s restaurant. For early risers there’s tea, coffee and fruit juices available from the bar, with a hot and cold breakfast buffet plus fruits and freshly baked bread and pastries, creating a delicious pick and mix. But if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there’s also an omelette station that will serve eggs just the way you like them. Lunch comes in the
form of a buffet with plenty of options, but don’t forget to leave room for the tempting desserts. However, the highlight of the day is without a doubt dinner. This is where you’ll sit at a private table with crisp linens and fine silverware to create a fine dining experience that feels like a real treat, especially when you combine it with attentive service from your crew. If, after all that indulgence, you want some more moments of pleasure, you can join your fellow travellers in the piano bar for your favourite after-dinner tipple.
Your luxury Tall Ship
It’s hard not to be charmed at the old-school glamour of our Tall Ships. They’re the kind of ships that demand attention when docked quayside, drawing in admiring glances. It’s a unique experience to climb aboard a classic vessel like this, and even more special to sail on one.
Evoking maritime heritage of the past, sister ships Star Clipper and Star Flyer are reconstructions of a 19th-century four-masted Barquentine, which sailed the seas for several hundred years (except, you’ll be pleased to hear, with modern safety features). Then there’s the largest of our ships, the Royal Clipper, inspired by the 1902-built Preussen, it is the only five-masted fully rigged sailing ship in the world. When her 42 sails unfurl and billow bright white against a blue sky, hold your breath – it’s certainly a sight to behold.
Despite their grandeur, our ships are small enough to sail closer to shore than large ocean cruisers. This means you get the best views possible – you need to see them to believe them – and stop in at lesser-visited ports to explore intriguing nooks and crannies, either with our expert guides or led by your own two feet.
It would be remiss to gush over the outside of the ships, when there’s so much to love inside, too. You’ll find outstanding craftsmanship at every turn: rich hardwoods and polished brass give that classic look, while elegant furniture and tasteful lighting set a refined yet laid back tone. And if you can drag yourself away from your cosy, chic cabins, the open decks have small swimming and splash pools which are too tempting to resist, particularly when you want to cool off and relax and enjoy the views.
Your cabin
Kick off your shoes, take in the views and settle in for a comfortable stay. You might be a long way from home but our airy cabins, elegantly designed and beautifully appointed with extra special touches, will be your haven as you cast off for new adventures
When off on an adventure on the Big Blue, you might be a long way from home – that’s sort of the point – but we know it’s still important to have those home comforts. Take your pick from our range of airy cabins and suites located across various decks, all elegantly designed. Suites are reminiscent of a sailing golden age, some with a private veranda, perfect for a chilled aperitif or enjoying a morning coffee as the sun comes up; while cabins are furnished to create an authentic and traditional sailing experience.
They’ve been designed for elegance and style, with smart wooden furniture, rich fabrics in a palette of warm tones and thoughtful lighting to complete a timeless nautical look. Plus all are fully air-conditioned, with double or twin beds available, plenty of storage, TV, telephone, safe and hairdryer, and superb marble bathroom. You’ll never want to leave.
If cruising is an art, then our ships have certainly mastered it.

The adventure doesn’t end when you leave dry land. With first-class restaurants on your doorstep and the spa and pools a stroll away, life on board a Celestyal cruise ship is not just about exploring the mysteries of the Mediterranean.
World-class dining
Fair warning: Where to go for lunch or dinner will be a tough choice. Every one of the world-class seven new restaurants promises to tantalise your tastebuds, with a choice of freshly-prepared international and Greek cuisine available. Luckily, you have enough time on board to sample them all.
Enjoy the VIP treatment with an exclusive dining experience at Chef’s Table, enjoy a taste of our destinations with Greek grazing in Fig & Honey, Mediterranean options at the Smoked Olive restaurant, or venture further afield with delicious South Asian inspired dishes in the Pink Moon.
It’s no less brilliant at breakfast time, as the main dining rooms and buffet areas have a wide array of breakfast foods, including plenty of healthy options.
As for watering holes, there are eight bars on board. Yes, eight! Sip on a pre-dinner cocktail, star gaze and swap stories with your fellow explorers – expect mellow tunes and potionlike signature cocktails created with fresh ingredients plucked straight from the Greek islands, and a wine list of specially selected vintages in The Grapevine Wine Cellar.
World-class crew
Our dedication to perfection doesn’t end at the ship – we know how important the crew are in making your holiday exceptional. You’ll find familiar friendly faces are on hand to look after you, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Every detail is meticulously inspected before they welcome you on board. From ship to shore the professional, English-speaking crew go out of their way to ensure an unparalleled standard of service and comfort, anticipating your every need. And our expert Riviera Tour Manager will be with you every step of the way.
Your ship
Be among the first to board the newly refurbished Celestyal Journey.
Our Celestyal cruise ship is the perfect vessel for a truly memorable experience exploring the Greek islands – it has access to both well-known and smaller ports on Greece’s most beautiful islands, and then when your adventure time is done, it has the facilities so that you can choose to spend your free time as you wish.
Perhaps you want a lazy couple of hours dozing in your dreamy cabin, reading a good book, and pamper yourself in the sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi. Or if new experiences are more your thing, the wealth of onboard entertainment can’t be beat.
Onboard entertainment
When we’re not in port, there’s more to do than just admire the view. There’s something on throughout the day –how about trying dancing lessons or handicraft lectures, or getting competitive in a sports tournament? There’s a whole schedule with something for everyone.
The entertainment doesn’t stop after dinner – every night onboard Celestyal Journey you can sit back and enjoy a show from the entertainment team performed in the Amphitheatro Show Lounge – a doubledecker show lounge with plush seating to sink into. Relax with a drink while listening to the live music played around the ship and the Martini Bar and Lounge, where the laid-back piano tunes will take you to new levels of go-with-the-flow. Or, if it’s thrills you’re seeking, test your luck in the Casino. Night owls will be in heaven.
Wellness
We’ve already mentioned some of the wellness facilities – can you tell we think relaxation is a key ingredient to the perfect holiday? – but that’s not all there is. Consider the Sozo Experience. Inspired by the Greek tradition of wellness, there’s an entire deck dedicated to strengthening and soothing you – mind, body and soul. Relax with a massage, enjoy that sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi we’ve been harping on about, or reach new levels of zen in the relaxation area – the Dream Den – and enjoy panoramic ocean views.
Or – for the more energetic among you –the new fitness area has all the equipment you need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, plus a dedicated fitness instructor if you’re the sort who needs an extra push. Take a lap on our outdoor jogging track or unleash your inner competitor on the open-air tennis and basketball courts.
Your cabin
As with all the ships we use across our cruise collections, we know that the quality of your cabin can have a massive impact on your trip. It needs to be a place you can call home for a short time. This is true of the Celestyal – they’re light and spacious with stylish details making it the perfect sanctuary to unwind and recharge.
Whichever cabin you choose, you can rest assured they are well-furnished, fully airconditioned and thoughtfully appointed with all the home comforts you couldn’t fit in your suitcase. If you ask us, relaxation is a key ingredient to a good holiday, and you’ll get plenty of rest with a night in the sumptuously soft hotel-style beds.
Each cabin has its own layout. Light pours in from the portholes or picture windows, while some cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows leading to a private balcony, so you can enjoy ocean views without stepping out of your cabin, and even interior rooms are still light and spacious so you’ll never feel cramped, only cosy.
Your en-suite bathroom is well-equipped with toiletries and a bath or walk-in shower.

For the next six days, your voyage of exploration will take you to some of Svalbard’s innumerable bays and islands. Of course, it’s all weather-dependent, but normally our stops will include Ny-Ålesund, the world’s northernmost permanent settlement, as well as former whaling stations and walrus colonies. We’ll also sail along the rim of the pack ice to spot polar bears in their natural environment. During the short summer, the local wildlife, such as reindeer and arctic foxes, are busy feeding their young for the polar winter to come.
The birdlife is truly magnificent – watch out for Arctic terns, fulmars, kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots, amongst the 80 recorded species found here.
The Ocean Albatros’s fleet of sturdy Zodiac dinghies will allow us frequent shore landings and mini-cruises in the fjords to marvel at the vast glacial landscapes. At all times, the aim of the captain and expedition leader is to include as many shore landings and Zodiac excursions as possible to get the best views of the wildlife at close quarters. In the evenings, you can look forward to informative lectures and presentations on all aspects of Arctic geography, wildlife and history, led by the various expedition leaders on board. After a nightcap at the bar, why not step outside again and enjoy the incredible light of the midnight sun as it skims the horizon – a wonderful time of ‘day’! (B,L,D)

3 YOUR FINANCIAL PROTECTION
We are Riviera Tours Ltd, New Manor, 328 Wetmore Road, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire DE14 1SP.
We hold an Air Travel Organisers license issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL number 3430). When you buy ATOL protected flights or a flight inclusive package from us you will receive an ATOL certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get the information on what this means to you and where to contact if things go wrong. We or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases where neither we or the suppliers are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to the alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer) where applicable. If we or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit, you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent or your credit card issuer where applicable. You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme. The Civil Aviation Authority can be contacted at Gatwick Airport South, West Sussex, RH6 0YR, UK tel +44 (0)333 103 6350, e-mail claims@caa.co.uk

You agree to accept that in the event of our insolvency ABTA may arrange for services you have bought to continue, or a suitable alternative to be provided at the same cost as your original booking. You also agree to accept that in circumstances where the travel service supplier provides the services you have bought, you agree to pay any outstanding sum under your contract with us to that alternative travel service provider. However, you also agree that in some cases the services will not be provided, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under ABTA’s Scheme of Protection (or payment card issuer where applicable) for a refund of the monies you have paid.
4 THE PRICE OF YOUR HOLIDAY
Please note, advertised prices may have changed by the time you book your holiday and errors may occur. You must check the price of your chosen holiday at the time of booking. We reserve the right to change prices and correct errors in advertised prices at any time before or after your holiday is confirmed. Subject to the correction of errors or amendment costs once booking is confirmed we can change your holiday price only in certain circumstances.
Changes in the price of the carriage of passengers resulting from changes to the cost of fuel or other power services, the level of taxes or fees imposed by third parties including tourist taxes, landing taxes, embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports or airports or exchange rates mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However, there will be no change within 20 days of your departure.
We will absorb and you will not be charged for any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that. If this results in an increase equivalent to more than 8% of the price of the travel arrangements you will have the option of accepting a change to another holiday if we are able to offer one. Any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value can be used towards an optional excursion, towards a future Riviera holiday or refunded. Or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid except for any amendment charges.
5 SPECIAL REQUESTS
Special requests must be advised at the time of booking. Unless specifically confirmed by us in writing all special requests are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge at your hotel. Please note that any special requests will not be binding and do not form part of your contract.
6 TOUR OR CRUISE ONLY BOOKINGS – YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Sometimes we may be able to offer tour or cruise only holidays subject
to availability, please call for details. If you choose one of these holidays your tour or cruise will begin at the hotel or ship stated in the itinerary. You must make your own travel arrangements including your flight or rail travel plus transfers to the first hotel or ship and onwards from the final hotel or ship. We will not be liable for the cost of any travel arrangements you put in place if the tour or cruise is cancelled or the starting point of your cruise or tour destination has changed. You must send us details of your travel arrangements at least 8 weeks prior to your departure.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive at the stated embarkation point at the required time for any ship that forms part of your holiday. If you are late, whilst we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in joining the ship, this may not be possible and in such circumstances your holiday will be treated as cancelled and you will not be entitled to any price reduction, refund or any other compensation.
7 CHANGES BY YOU
You can transfer your booking to another person who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the contract by giving us notice as soon as possible and no later than 7 days before departure. Such a transfer may incur fees, charges or other costs and we will inform you of these before the transfer is confirmed. You and the person to whom your booking is being transferred will be responsible for paying any fee, costs and/or charges we incur in making the transfer.
Any amendment other than name changes and transfer of your booking to another person are discretionary and we may not be able to agree to them. Any amendments we agree after issue of the confirmation invoice will incur an administration fee of at least £40 per person plus any costs incurred by us and/or charged by our suppliers. Some amendments may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking which will require payment of the applicable cancellation fee which could be up to 100% charges. A change of holiday dates is a cancellation of the original booking and the cancellation charges in clause 8 apply. Name changes are allowed 7 days or more prior to travel. All costs must be paid before the amendment can be affected.
8 CANCELLATION/CURTAILMENT BY YOU
You can cancel your holiday at any time by contacting our office. The cancellation of your holiday will be effective once we have heard from you. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements you will have to pay cancellation charges as set out below. Where a percentage is shown this is a percentage of the total holiday cost. You should ensure that your policy provides at least comparable cover to that provided by the policy of our insurance partner. You will be responsible for indemnifying us in full in respect of any costs we incur because of your failure to have adequate and appropriate insurance cover. We would recommend that your policy should cover you fully for COVID-19 should you need to cancel in advance of travelling or should you contract this while you are away, and it is necessary for you to be isolated to your cabin/room and unable to participate in the holiday.
