Executive Staff

Administrative Staff

Mandate: Always seeking sponsorships, ensuring success, and recruiting/promoting for KCN

Mandate: Organize day/weekend long retreat where all persons involved in KCN perform 1st show run thru [ensures the venue has sufficient space/fufills needs for all Cast and Creative Staff. Also aids Executive Staff.

1) Executive Producer

• Delegates work amongst Executive Staff • Sets deadlines and runs meetings • Trains Executive Staff in businesses etiquette for the main purpose of seeking sponsorships. • Works with Director for the development of Story, Theme, and Script

2) Cast / Staff Manager

• Serves as liason between Creative Staff and Executive Staff • Organizes rehearsal times and books rooms / practice spaces for all of Creative Staff and Cast

3) Finance Manager

• Makes money & sponsorships • Researches and creates database / list of local businesses to target for sponsorships opportunities [names of businesses, phone numbers, e-mail, owner or any other contact • Works with Executive Producer and Finance Assistant to contact (call) potential businesses on a set day of the week, on a weekly basis • Works with Graphic Designer(s) to

create a presentable Sponsorship Packets to give to businesses • Develop budgets with Executive Staff for every department in Creative Staff

4) Public Relations Manager

• Promotes and advertises for anything KCN related with Public Relations Assistant • Receives flyers / posters from Graphic Designer • Flyers & Quarter sheets on campus, churches, any other venue possible [local businesses, university, boards of classrooms, tabling in the Student Union, etc] • Promise to take down ads after date • Schedule to speak with professors’ classes to discuss “30-second run down” of KCN and promote KCN during the recruitment phase and advertisement months/weeks before the show

1) Administrative Assistant

• Spearheads the primary mandate and organizes other Administrative Staff. • Writes professional “Thank-You” cards for each and every sponsor who is willing to help KCN [sponsorship information provided by Finance Manager]. • Helps Cast / Staff Manager during day long retreat; helps organize people day of retreat and ensures the retreat runs smoothly

Creative Staff Mandate: Ensure successful execution of performance

1) Director

• Works with Executive Producer to develop Story, Theme, & Script • Writes script and has “creative liberties” with show [meaning that they have the last say regarding Creative Staff decisions • Responsible for organizing Cast rehearsals and managing them • Researches and becomes knowlegable with theater performance [script writing, acting, etc] to help Cast during practices

2) Asstistant Director

• Aids Director in script writing and managing practices • Reminds Cast members rehearsal times and locations so nobody is confused

3) Production Manager

• Liason between Director and Creative Staff [if anything is needed amongst Cast or Creative Staff, it is reported to Director]. • Ensures that deadlines set by Executive Producer are met • Reports to Executive Producer on progress to provide updates

• Attends all rehearsals and practices for each dept to ensure that things run smoothly and progress is being made [does not have to stay for entire rehearsal]. • Ensures that progress is going according to schedule. • Day of show; responsible for knowing the Script inside out to give cues for people to get out on stage.

4) Music Composer

• Compose original music for show

5) Poongmul, Modern Dance, Traditional Dance, Tae Kwon Do, & Set Coordinator • Recruits and auditions people • Organizes and runs practices amongst team • Thru Production Manager, figures out what Director wants in terms of what type of performance should is needed

6) Set Design Coordinator • Develops drawings / sketches and drafts for things that are stationary

[things actors do NOT touch/move] • Reviews ideas and drawings with Director and sees if anything should be changed • Works with Set Coordinator to ensure deadlines are met

7) Set Construction Coordinator

• Builds sets and finds location to build sets • Moves the sets in and out during show

8) Property Coordinator(Props)

• Responsible for things on stage that actors touch and move around [plates, cups, fake swords etc]

9) Costume Designer

• Works closely with Director to ensure that the wardrobe fits the show

9) Graphic Designer

• Designs program booklet • Designs all posters & flyers with any sponsors in Illustrator, Photoshop, or any other means of graphic design and gives to Public Relations Manager • Comes up with Sample Drafts and presents to Producer & Director

Creative Staff (cont’d) 10) Web Designer

• Designs and maintains website [Blogspot, Wordpress, or other] to post important information • Works with Executive Producer to ensure website is updated regularly • Works with Graphic Designer to ensure the website is professional with the necessary graphics

11) Photographer & Videographer

• Follow around all departments and staff [Executive, Creative, and Administrative] to document ALL events [sponsorship meetings, practices, set/props/costume construction, general/planning meetings, businesses runs, etc] • Responsible for producing short clips / slide shows to show progress at General Meetings • Must be aware of discretion matters [where you can/cannot document]
