Vice President, Diverse Partner Development, Partner Ecosystem IBM Corporation
Denise Evans, Vice President, Business Partner Development, is responsible for developing and implementing a program to increase the number and revenues of diverse partners in the IBM Partner Ecosystem. Denise has served globally in numerous leadership and executive positions in IBM including Vice President, Women & Diverse BtB Marketing and Directors of Global e-business, Global Customer Loyalty, and Global eRelationship Marketing. Denise serves on the Board of Directors of the Global Summit of Women, the Galt Foundation and the National Alliance for Mental Illness-Maryland. Denise has received awards by numerous organizations and featured in many publications as an advocate for diverse businesses and diversity in STEM. Denise is a global citizen who has traveled across 6 continents, a mentor to many and a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts. Denise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Chief, Bioeffects Division Air Force Research Laboratory “Career Enhancement through Technical Development”
Ms. Stephanie Miller is an Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Directed Energy Professional Society Fellow. She currently serves as Chief of the Bioeffects Division, 711th Human Performance Wing, AFRL charting the course of directed energy bioeffects research. Ms. Miller was the principal investigator for the bioeffects efforts that directly led to the transition of the Active Denial System, a non-lethal directed energy counter-personnel weapon, from laboratory system, to Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration, and to fielding with an operational unit. In 2010, she was detailed to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research & Engineering) where she served as Assistant Director, Human Systems Integration, in the Human Performance, Training, and BioSystems Directorate managing a $2.4B research portfolio. Before assuming her post as Division Chief, Ms. Miller was the Technical Advisor for AFRL’s Plans & Programs Directorate. She was hand-selected to create the Directed Energy Weapons Flight Plan for the Air Force. Her other leadership roles include co-chair of the Unconventionally-acquired Brain Injury OSD Working Group, chair of the Bioeffects subarea for the OSD Directed Energy and Non-lethal Weapons Community of Interest, and the OSD representative to the President’s National Science & Technology Council Social, Behavioral, & Economics Subcommittee.

Karen Rodriguez, Division Vice President with Abbott Laboratories, is an accomplished scientific and operations leader with experience across medical device and pharmaceutical industries, including molecular and immunoassay diagnostic reagents as well as small-molecule and biologic CMC development. Karen has demonstrated leadership experience with manufacturing, quality control, operations and supply chain management as well as facilitates and oversees activities across global teams. She is a member of Diagnostic Women in Action (DWA), a divisional networking group that is dedicated to promoting career advancement opportunities for women. “We developed a mentoring program in DWA that has made a significant difference in my career path,” said Karen. “I’m partnered with women from all walks of life – many parts of modern working families like mine – and we share ideas for planning successful careers at Abbott.”

Born in India. Made in Germany. Seasoned in America. Deval is a Petite Leader, Mother and Runner who uses Tough Love to bring the best out of herself, her teams and business. She brings 20 years of Technology Leadership experience in Healthcare and Finance industries and currently, is a Vice President of Rocket Data team at Quicken Loans. Rocket Data is a large Engineering team that is in a relentless pursuit to build the next generation of Data Products to inform effective business decisions. She holds an Engineering in Electronics and a Master’s in Business degrees that help her empower Engineering teams to provide true business value. Having lived and worked in a few cities in India, Germany and United States, she enjoys learning and experiencing the impact of culture in workspace. She was named 2020 “Woman of Influence” in Cincinnati’s Venue awards.
ERIKA MARSHALL
Vice President, C6ISR Strategy & Business Development Lockheed Martin – Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) “Embrace your fear!!”
Erika leads the strategy & business development efforts to deliver undersea, all domain C4ISR, and spectrum warfare solutions in support of our customers’ most challenging missions. Her 19-year career journey at Lockheed Martin has fueled her passion for technology and giving back. Today she serves on the Computer Science & Engineering board at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) as well as Lockheed Martin’s African American and Women’s BRG executive councils – organizations chartered to enable our culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Erika is originally from Jacksonville, FL and is a proud Computer Science alumna of Spelman College (M.S) The Johns Hopkins University (M.S.). She is an avid indoor cyclist and loves spending time with her husband Darryl, son Dillon, and bulldogs Beau and Winston. Erika is a CCG Modern Day Technology leader and All Star Technology leader award recipient. In 2018, Erika was one of South Florida Business Journal’s “Most Influential Women in Business”.
