CONGRATULATIONS FELLOWS! Congratulations to Andrew Lane, Julie Kitchen, Mike Steele and Pippa Jagger who have gained FHEA through completing the New Lecturers’ Programme and to Sacha Mason whose FHEA application is currently being processed. Mike Steele said of his experiences on the New Lecturers’ Programme, “I enjoyed working with colleagues across the college who work on other courses; foundation, undergraduate and post-graduate. It helped me to better understand the work of the college and my role as a lecturer in Higher Education. It was hard work, particularly after a day of teaching and attending meetings, but ultimately rewarding.” As well as gaining FHEA through completing the New Lecturers’ Programme, you can also apply through the ‘Individual Route’. This is for colleagues with at least three years HE teaching experience. Liz Hopkins, Kate Adams and Barbara Murphy have recently been successful in achieving FHEA in this way and other colleagues are currently preparing applications. If you would like to apply for FHEA please contact Claire Taylor claire.taylor@bishopg.ac.uk
