NEWS _________________________________________________________________________ MT TARAWERA TRIP On Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th, 60 of our Year 10 students will be 'climbing' Mt Tarawera.

Students from 10M1, 10M2 and 10M3 are going on Monday 26th Nov Students from 10 History, 10M4 and 10 Rumaki are going on Tuesday 27th Nov.

A notice was sent home with all the details of the trip and some suggestions on appropriate clothing. Students will need to be at school by 8.30am on the day of their trip. They will be back at school at 1.30 and in class for period 5. For those students not going on the trip, classes will run as normal and they are expected to be at school.

If you have any queries please contact your students' Social Studies/History teacher or the Head of Department Ms J Chemis via their school email.

__________________________________________________________________________ TOP TOWN Top Town is a fun day out for Year 9 and 10 students to mix with others and take part in a range of activities that suit everyone. This day will be held Friday 30th November. Students should come to school wearing their house colour, PE gear and bring a towel or change of clothes for the end of the day in case they get wet.

Come prepared for a nice warm day (fingers crossed!) with a water bottle, and sunblock on. Get ready for a day of lots of fun and laughter!

_________________________________________________________________________ YEAR 13 LEAVERS DINNER The Year 13 Leavers dinner will be held on Thursday 6 December at Rydges Hotel at 7 pm seated for dinner at 7.30 pm.

Tickets are now on sale at the school office until Tuesday 27 November all tickets must be paid in full by this date- $55.00 per head. Tickets must be presented at the door.

Students who have booked their tickets please come and collect from student reception.

All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Caregiver.

Permission slips are available at student reception.

__________________________________________________________________________ ELECTIVES Electives are 3 – 5 December 2018. Please can all parents / caregivers ensure elective fees are paid in full BEFORE these dates to avoid disappointment. Thank you.

__________________________________________________________________________ 2018 JUNIOR PRIZEGIVING Junior Prizegiving will be held on Friday 7 December 2018 at 11.30 am (to approximately 1.30 pm).

LOST PROPERTY We have a number of items in lost property. Please check at student reception. Items will be re-sold or given to charity if not collected by the end of term.

_________________________________________________________________________ SENIOR UNIFORM FOR 2019 YEAR 12 STUDENTS A reminder to parents of this year’s Year 11 students that they will need to buy the new Senior Uniform for their students going into Year 12 next year and then on to Year 13 the following year:

GIRLS need a plain blue skirt and a white shirt.

BOYS need a white shirt.

All items can be purchased from The Rugby Shop. There may be some second-hand items available through the school.

Donations of old uniform will be gratefully accepted by the school – thank you.

Normal Hours – 8.00am to 4.30pm daily Monday to Friday Closing for Xmas Holidays December 21st, 2018 Re-opening January 14th, 2019 – normal hours Please note - the following Saturday openings are not normal hours, but a consideration for parents who shop at weekends.
