SPORTS ___________________________________________________________________________ BOYS 1st X1 HOCKEY Another game against Whakatane last night. We started without our goalie so Hunter Thompson padded up for the first time for the team. Again the boys fought hard for the whole game and what was especially pleasing was being able to see their development over the last 3 games against this team. The final score was a loss 2-1 , however it doesn’t really reflect the skilled play we had. Goal from a PC was Jamaalullah Abdul Rahman. POD Rupert Lewis.
Draw next week 2 games 2 July 7 pm in Rotorua be at the turf by 6.30 pm 4 July 5.45 pm in Taupo, leaving school at 4 pm ___________________________________________________________________________ RLHS GIRLS HOCKEY by Helen Gainsford Game for Girls B Team - 2/7/2019 Is in Taupo @5.45 so will be leaving school at 4pm from the carpark. Please bring $10.00 and money for dinner Game for Girls A Team - 2/7/2019 Is at 5.45 against Ruamata on Roto 1 This week’s games went really well. The 1st girls got moved into the A division and played the top A division team. Although we lost, the girls showed how strong they are as a group and defended with passion to stop the other team from rolling over them. The 2nd team had a really good game against Taupo Nui. Although we lost, Corey stepped up and played goalie for the first time, and the skills of the team are starting to show, with amazing defense in front of our goal. Well done teams A big thank you to Andries Labuschagne for stepping in for me while I had teacher interviews.
