___________________________________________________________________________ HUGE HONOUR FOR CAITLIN NEWSON

Our very own Just Cate aka Caitlin Newson has been asked to perform at the Te Kete Matariki Festival in Jubilee Park, Te Puke on the 10th July from 4pm. What an opportunity to be a supporting act for Ria Hall. Big thank you to Sam Hema for organising this event.

___________________________________________________________________________ OUTSTANDING DANCE & DRAMA SUCCESS The year 11's have been working on assessment 1.3 Ensemble Awareness in dance. They have partly choreographed a contemporary dance inspired by Kowhaiwhai patterns. This is the first dance assessment for RLHS and all achieved fantastic results. Our Students are Paris Wall, Slayden Yerex, Alyssa Flight,

Caitlin Newson, Jorja Kendrick, and Reef Bassant.

The year 10's have been working on a Techniques assessment, where they are given two pages of script to memorise and add the drama techniques to. We have channeled all our sass into creating characters who stand up for what they believe is right. Our students are Mia Vandy and Brock

Aitchison, Jessica Leigh and Tiraha Karakia.

SPORT ___________________________________________________________________________ JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL Our junior boys had a friendly game with R.I.S to help them select and prepare their team for A.I.M.S. games later in the year. Great to welcome home Tamihana Gardiner (back right) ex Lakes Head Boy. T.I.C basketball at R.I.S.
