Dear Parents / Caregivers My first couple of weeks at RLHS have been a whirlwind of meeting students, staff and community members. As this continues, I have been encouraged by the strong support shown, both for myself personally and the school.

I would just like to reiterate what I said in my last newsletter, that my door is always open and I appreciate feedback from parents both positive and constructive to ensure that we can continue to move forward reflecting the needs of our community Nga mihi

Ruby is in the world's top-20 ranked junior female riders and has recently competed in Junior World Series XCO races in America, Canada and gaining a win in Japan. Throughout her time at Rotorua Lakes High Ruby has consistently shown passion and enthusiasm for her sport despite countless injuries which would have forced other riders to stop racing. SPORTS

___________________________________________________________________________ BOYS 1st X1 HOCKEY A cold night saw us play against Whakatane High School. The game started sluggish with skills not as high as we have seen before by the Boys. 20 Mins in we had had about 12 shots on goal but not in! Whakatane slipped behind the defence once to manage a goal which shocked the boys into action. Jayden Fraser equalised shortly after which helped build the confidence of the team. Cam Forrest secured a further goal to provide a win 2-1. POD
