Rotorua Lakes High School “Mauria te pono - Keep steadfastly to the truth”

NEWSLETTER ISSUE No. 35 – 4 DECEMBER 2020

CHALKBOARD From the Principal – P. 1 News – P. 2 - 9 Dept News – P. 9 Our Sponsor – P. 10

Kia ora Koutou, This week saw our always enjoyable Top Town event. With students competing in their houses for overall supremacy. We were fortunate with the weather with the rain holding off all day. My thanks to the Heads of House the student leaders for organizing the day and, as always, all staff. Everyone involved seemed to have loads of fun and there was lots of laughter, always a good sign. We also had our electives this week. Our students get the chance to leave formal classroom activity behind and engage in other learning opportunities which will hopefully stay with them as both enjoyable and productive excursions and form long standing memories. A huge thank you to all staff for their hard work in making this such a fantastic experience for our students. I look forward to seeing you at Junior Prizegiving 12 noon Tuesday next week on our last day of the school year. Hopefully you can make it. Nga mihi,

Jon Ward Principal / Tumuaki
