iSPORT

Well done to our students, Samuel Trass, Uenuku MalcomPapworth, Kya Stuart and Maraea Paul who attended the Isport Foundation “Connecting to Character” Youth Leadership Day on 28 May in Rotorua.

A total of 51 schools were chosen and approximately 700 students attended the iSPORT Foundation Leadership Day. The Foundation inspires and enables NZ Youth to participate in sport and be the best they can be – no matter their circumstances. They believe every child has a right to be physically active, have access to positive role models and be the best they can be regardless of their circumstances.

The guests of honour were Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Willie Apiata, Honey Hireme-Smiler and Les Elder. Our students were thrilled to meet our NZ stars and even had the chance to join workshops with them! Such a fantastic day for our students.

FANTASTIC COMPETITIVE CHALLENGES

A tight game of football between Okareka and Tikitapu on Tuesday - nil all at the end of game time so a penalty shootout was held and Tikitapu won 3-1. It was an exciting game between Rotokakahi and Tarawera with the score 8 – 4 going to Rotokakahi. Great fun!! Well done to all our students
