Welcome

The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists

The best place for Rockies Geoscience

01 - 2017 Member Packet

Welcome Welcome Greetings!

We are thrilled to have you in this vibrant community of geologists spanning the Rocky Mountain region. The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists is a nonprofit organization whose purposes are to promote interest in geology and allied sciences and their practical application, to foster scientific research and to encourage fellowship and cooperation among its members. Our loyal membership base is critical to producing relevant publications, hosting strong technical talks, and providing great networking events. Over the last year the RMAG has achieved many great accomplishments. A few of the RMAG’s 2016 highlights include: • The move to a new website platform that enables RMAG members to easily download publications, register for events, and connect with each other using the membership database. • Collaborating with organizations to provide lower cost networking events and technical programs. • The launch of a new Mentorship Program allowing a small group of members to learn from and collaborate with each other. In 2017 we are looking forward to the continuation of the mentorship program. The program will start on February 1st, 2017 and run through November 2017. We hope you are as excited as we are about the upcoming year and we look forward to having you as an active part of the RMAG community in 2017. Included in this packet are some tools for you to see what the RMAG is up to and how to engage with the membership base. As always, the RMAG staff is here to support you. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact us.
