Our son, Lleyton,
was born 6 weeks early, on November 12, 2019. Months before he was born, he was diagnosed with several heart defects called Tetralogy of Fallot, so we already knew we’d be having the birth a long way from home, at Cox South in Springfield. However, due to his early birth and TOF, we spent a total of 30 days in the NICU with him. Throughout that month, we were so grateful to be able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House close to our baby’s hospital. It was a huge blessing to have a home-like place to go to and a hot meal to eat after each day in the NICU, without having to worry about the expenses at a time when our precious baby was on our mind and other bills were stacking up! We enjoyed meeting the friendly staff and were blessed by the way they cared about us and did all they could to make our stay a relaxing one! We feel so indebted to RMHC for the blessing it was to us through that time! Thank you so much!
